Hi everyone
Well back in July I found a starving little cat raiding my garbage and started feeding her - next thing we discovered she had 4 kittens. One has since been adopted but we ended up keeping 3. My husband claims not to like cats but the first adoptee - a sweet tabby on white boy "Patches" could not be disliked by the hardest heart. Never have I known such a good and loving cat. Next came female Picassa, a striking grey-hound build abstract calico on white with an attitude (I think she has Siamese in her someplace) and then the little one of the litter, Pandora (aka "Little Grey") a sweet girl who totally captured my husband's heart - he's now "his cat". We've had our problems, the battle to get them all (including Mama Patience) neutered/spayed, Patches having an eye infection (cleared but he still has a cloudy eye needing drops), a bout of stomach troubles and some nasty diarrhea accidents (vet bills, antibiotics, sigh) but everyone is doing well. They are the most gorgeous kittens, each totally different in looks and personality. We are also feeding and sheltering Mama Patience outside, she is wary of coming in and besides 3 inside our small house is more than enough! I am hoping she will get a bit tamer and maybe we can find her a home in the future, but she seems happy enough with the current arrangement for now. In my initial questions I was sensibly asked if she gets to spend time with her kittens, and yes, they go out sideto play (supervised) and she does, although she tends to swat Mr. Patches if he tries to share her food!
