I hate to be a party-pooper, but I don't celebrate it at all.

My house is way up the back of a block, so the kids never come knocking ...

I don't think it's such a big thing here.

  me either.

l don't decorate for Hallowe'en ever, although l did when the kids were little.

The dog enjoys the kids coming to the door, so l hand out candy till it's gone, then shut off the lights.

My husband and I are going to a Halloween party. I think we're going to be Yip Yips from Sesame Street. The ccostumes looked easy enough to make.

I'll put up my witch bottle display here at work with the black netting and the purple mini-lights, but that's probably it. I keep my Double Trouble gargoyle on the front of my office door year-round (except at Christmas).

At home, I have a few witch bottles that I put out on the hutch. And a black cat cookie jar. Rick got me a Halloween Snoopy figurine a few years ago. And he gave me a figurine of red-headed witch....I asked him if he was trying to tell me something, but he denies it
 (I have auburn hair).

Halloween is my favorite holiday.  I'm going to decorate, although I don't have much yet.  Some of the Halloween stuff stays up all year, too, just because I like it so much.  I'm planning to dress up, as well.

The actual day -- Oct. 31 -- is our school's History day, so I will be wearing something Renaissance and teaching Renaissance dance.  There's also a costumed contra dance that I'm planning on going to on one of the week-ends (not sure which one).

I might help my parents give out candy, although to be honest, the candy is my least favorite part.

I love Halloween and always have.  I don't do as much as I did in the past.  One thing I do do is start posting my Halloween graphics on the websites I visit, it's just a little thing I do cuz I love the holiday so much.

A witch bottle is a potion bottle. A potion can be anything and you can be very creative with your names and with ingredients. For example, one of my bottles contains Vampire Teeth (rock salt with some pieces that are dyed red with food coloring for blood drops). I have a very large jar that contains two turkey feet, compliments of my boss
....that's for the Gryphon Claws. My jar of Baby Gnome Toes are large garlic cloves. Things like that.

I made a paper mache witch's recipe book called "The Witch's Elbow: Potions and Spells". Not the best book, but you get the idea.

I'll have to look for some pictures tonight.

Aw, I used to do Renaissance dancing when I was younger! So much fun!

I also love Halloween  <3

Not sure about the actual day - Usually it is pretty quiet, watching scary movies and eating candies. Since I live in the country no trick or treater's. But, planning to go to a historical fort with friends where they go all out in scaryness.

Also hoping to go on a Zombie Walk this year. Or a Ghost Tour.

I will be taking my 1 year old to the children's party at the community center. We will go trick or treating next year probably, but she will probably have more fun at the party this year. We will go to the mall the evening that they have trick or treating, it's usually a day or two before Halloweeen. I live in the country, so we don't get any kids coming to the door here.

We don't celebrate Halloween. At church on that night we have what we call Hallejeuh Night for the family. There are no scary costumes allowed. It is a family night with games, food and fun for all the family.. It entertains the children in a Christian atmosphere and keeps them off the streets.

That sounds cute Winchester!

I love Halloween. It's probably my favorite holiday. There will be parties and such going on so I will be going to those.

It's barely celebrated here, although two decades ago it was all the rage for a few years. I'll have some candy on hand in case we get some trick or treaters and might put up a few decorations, but that's it.

Witch Bottles sound fun! I had never heard of those! I bet they look really fabulous too
.

My husband and I are taking my dad to his friend's 90th birthday in Pittsburgh so we will be missing the Halloween party of our friends in South Bend. They have an incredible party every year, where they decorate their house to the max and make all Halloween-themed food and drinks. I wish we could be in both places at once!

Pretty much the same here. My mom's church does that too & she sometimes ask me to come & help. My dad usually stays home & passes out candy. I used to love to go over & help so I could see all the cute really little ones in their costumes. I live in a house that's not on a main neighborhood street, so I never get anyone here. I do think it's fun to carve pumpkins, so I will probably do one just for my porch.

Oh that sounds really good too! I love that idea! And I like everyone coming together like that :-).

I think family parties are much better than going from house to house. Of course that may also be due to the fact that our house is set back from the road on a street with no sidewalks or street lights lol, so we rarely get any trick or treaters. It is so cute to see all the little kids in their costumes but our driveway is too long for them and we only get the teenagers and then only sometimes lol.
