Last night my darn roommate didn't hear my cat slip out of the apartment, even if she has a bell on her collar, and I found her outside after work 3 hours later. She was so scared and she's still scared of my roommate, I'm grateful she knows who mommy is. Anyways, Tally has the sniffles and she's been sneezing all morning, she's still jumpy but she's still very affectionate towards me so I know her behavior hasn't changed I'm just scared that she might be getting sick considering it was very cold last night and I only found her 3 hours after she slipped out. Should I wait it out? Is it even serious at all or am I just freaking out for no reason? Thanks :)

The stress of the ordeal may have brought on the sniffles.  I'd give her a "safe place" with an empty cardboard box or someplace she can hide and feel secure, provide her all the comforts of home (move her food dish and water close to her) and set up a temporary box close to where she's hanging out.  Keep an eye on her and if you notice any excess lethargy, change in litter/eating/play habits, then get her to the vet.  Also, if you notice any discolored eye or nose discharge then she needs to be seen by the vet.  Let her de-stress and don't force her to come out or do anything she's not comfortable doing.

I noticed she was following me today a lot before work but she ate well and drank water normally. I also noticed she was avoiding my roommate so I'm not sure if something happened but ill definitely keep her in my bedroom or something. I know she likes it a lot in there. Thank you so much!

Poor kitty O: Just provide her with a safe place (favorite food, toys, things etc.). She's experiencing lots of stress and anxiety right now.

Good idea to confine her while you're away.  Be sure she has access to a litter box, water, food, toys and she'll be fine until you get home.
