Hello everyone,
My cat had just escaped about a week ago and came back to our house covered in mud and was bleeding on his paws. We gave him a bath and cleaned his paws. About 3 days ago we then discovered that there was a spot of fur on his right front leg that was completely missing. He also kept licking it, however it didn't look infected so we cleaned it and it was fine. Just now we noticed that from the same wound that he kept licking was oozing pus, and a hole. We also checked his body and found fleas on him. Is it the fleas that caused him to start licking his fur off or was his fur essentially of from the fight? If it was from the fleas, what is something we can do for the night for him to stop licking the wound until we go to the vet in the morning?
