Morning! And a very happy TGIF!

Easy question this morning....I like to ask this one from time to time, just because I'm nosy.

What are your plans for the coming weekend?

We are going to spend the weekend outside. It's to be absolutely lovely weather-wise around here this weekend, so it's a perfect chance to get some fall tasks done. We need to prune and cut plants down in the flower beds, get the plants out of the vegetable garden and put them on a burning pile (I don't know that we'll burn because we are so dry.) Have to mow the yard, hopefully for the last time, although if October stays as warm as what they're talking and if we get rain, we may get in another mowing or so. Have to get the pool equipment into the basement; the pool is closed, but everything is still outside.

I try to give the gas grill a good cleaning from time to time, although we'll use the grill all year around, or until we get enough snow that Rick won't shovel a path to it anymore.

I'd like to wash Clarence (the PT Cruiser) on Sunday afternoon after Rick comes home from church. When he takes his mom to church, he drives Clarence because the Cruiser is easier for her to get into than the Tucson is.....he's a bit lower to the ground.

And that will pretty much be our weekend. There's a ton of stuff to get done. What about you?

With the pain I'm feeling right now Pam, I won't be doing much.  Maybe Russ will pick up some movies or we will watch something On Demand if there is anything good on.

By the way, when I went to the Dr. yesterday he prescribed Tylenol 3 which needs to prescription.  He didn't see a rash on my back so he didn't consider it Shingles yet.  If a rash does show up, I am to call him and he will give me the anti-viral meds I need.

I will be trying to secure a ride for Tuesday to do errands. Our son in law is not going to be working on our car Saturday or Sunday cause Bow Season is starting this weekend and he won't be helping my husband with our car. You see we can't work on the car at our apartments so the car is at my daughter's home. I hate to ask my brother in law or his wife to help cause he has done enough with getting us free parts for the car and they both work. Maybe 1 of their daughters could help if we paid for gas and lunch. We don't talk to any of the neighbors cause we are loners I guess you can say. And depending on my daughter ? She works and has a problem taking us around she thinks we ''bother'' her to much.

I will be doing some running around this weekend.

My parents went out of town up to the mountains to visit my mom's twin sister & husband this morning.  (6hr. drive)

So I will be driving over to their house to feed their cat dinner tonight, but first I have to go pick up another case of Angel's Purina UR at the Vet's.

Tomorrow, I'll drive over to my parents to feed the cat breakfast, (go bk home,)  then I have an afternoon hair apt.  The library is having a book sale tomorrow, so I think I will go check it out to burn up an hour or so before I have to go back over to feed their cat. (sense all in the same area)

Saturday night I'll probably catch up on shows I taped all week. (so many new ones!)

Then of course Sunday morning, back over to feed their cat, & they will be home Sunday evening.

Thankfully, my parents are going to pay me some gas money for going back & forth.

I'm planning on working in the yard too, the weather sounds great, highs in the 70's! They are even saying maybe some rain tonight, I'm ever hopeful but it seems to always pass us by, we're still almost 9 inches below normal! I'm going to be glad for a frost this year, my plants can go to sleep and hopefully not need so much water! These 250.00 water bills are killing me! We are supposed to be 90 degrees today, I'm tired of the hot too, bring on the snow! I even started thinking it might be nice to live in a condo! But you know what? When I look around our little acre in the city and see all the beautiful trees and flowers and wildlife, it makes all the hard work somehow worth it. And more good news, I haven't seen a dumped cat for months now, a record! (I hope I didn't jinx myself!)

School work, mostly. I need to find some good translation texts for classes and tests. The first of the latter will be starting in about 2 1/2 weeks.

We would like to get at least one side of the house painted before it gets too cold. I have gone as high as I am comfortable on the ladder on that side Unfortunately the rest is going to be all Aaron. He took the day off and got some scraping/sanding done. He'll be working on that the rest of the weekend. I have plenty to do in the yard to get it ready for winter. I keep clipping things back, weeding and bringing things in as I see them. We'll go out to eat for one meal and I've bought littleneck clams for another.

Currently planning tomorrow as a quiet slobbing about in PJs day, eating chocolate and playing with Mouse, then Sunday I'll be up and out   to my  usual charity volunteer  stint after a short AM play with Mouse.  Might have to do some housework in there somewhere but I'll keep it to a minimum.

We get to go to my son's college football game on Sat-- about a 90 minute drtve away from home . Then, we get to take him out to dinner tomorr evening before driving back. Or, maybe we'll get a hotel room if we don't feel like making the drive back on Sat night. Either way, he's our only child, and its always a special weekend whenever we get to spend part of it with him.

I hope you feel better, too, Draco.

In the meantime, I will celebrate with you in thought:  Sunday is my birthday, too!

I'm celebrating mostly tomorrow instead of Sunday, though, because Sunday is my housework and get ready for school day.  My parents and I are going to one of my favorite restaurants, then I'm going back to their place for pie and champagne (I bought the champagne to celebrate the success of my first year teaching, but several elements conspired against actually having it at that time).  I'm going to spend the night and have breakfast with them on Sunday.

I'm doing sheets (laundry) and school work during the day tomorrow, and the rest of my laundry on Sunday.

I've got nothing going on this weekend, by design. I was out and about every single day this week, and most of last week, and it's my vacation! I go back to work on Monday, and I want to putter around. I want to finish vacuuming including the bedroom rugs, mop the floors and shampoo the carpet around where the litter boxes are.  I have the boxes sitting on a large plastic carpet protector meant for an office chair by a desk, but their smelly little paws still touch the carpet when they get out of the box.  I also want to make some beef stew, split pea soup and kale and bean soup in the pressure cooker to freeze so I have meals for the week ahead.

We're having our returns and piping cleaned tomorrow by the HVAC company. (Exciting ;) ). I think I'm also going to try my hand at baking a few gluten-free things this weekend! All I need to find is Xanthan Gum, and I'll be set! Other than that, I think we're going to have a movie night in and maybe pick up a few things we need from the store. I like laid-back weekends. :)
