Just wondering now that the cool weather is here do you use a sheet or a blanket to sleep with at night ?

And you feel comfortable with the air or the fan still on ? Do you like it cold in your bedroom at night  at this time of the year ?

I hate waking up in a cold sweat so we have the fan on till it gets cold  and then we turn it off.

We got a light dusting of snow on the mountains across from us today in Salt Lake City. I love the cooler weather and I'm so excited it's setting in here. My husband and I sleep with three fans on in our bedroom and last night we had the window open as well lol. When it drops below freezing at night we will only use two fans on lower settings and maybe throw an extra comforter on the bed until we get hot and it goes on the floor. If it's above 68 degrees in a room I'm sleeping in I know it's going to be a long night especially if we are staying with someone that has no fan.

We went to Jackson Hole WY for a few days earlier this year and stayed in a hotel for my husbands job and we made sure to bring a fan along lol.

It's been down in the low 40s here at night and early morning, so I put the winter duvets on the bed last week. We don't heat the bedroom and leave the balcony doors open at night, so it's pretty cool. The fans got put away weeks ago.
We haven't turned the heat on yet, but it's been on at work for the past two weeks. Fall is definitely here.

I didn't put the bedroom fan away yet, but I will once October gets here. I just saw on TWC last night that our October is supposed to be warmer, a bit above normal temps. I'll take it; we still have a lot to get done outside.

I think I said the other week that I did put the flannel sheets on the bed. Right before Rick went away, we got up one morning and it was really chilly in the house. He said that he wouldn't have been upset had I put the electric blanket on the bed.....I still haven't done that. But the other night, I got out of bed and put on a pair of sweatpants and some socks because I was really chilly. I think that was the night that all the cats came to bed, too, so they must have been cold, too.

It was 56 degrees F when I came to work this morning. That's not too shabby.

We don't have the heat turned on in the house yet. I'd like to get to November, if we can before turning it on. But once it's on, it stays on. And once the temps start staying in the low 40s at night, that electric blanket will be on the bed so fast!

We keep our air on 76, so I leave a light weight blanket on the bed all year. We haven't turned on heat yet. It will be awhile. We have gas logs in the living room where the ceiling is 16 ft. high. On chilly mornings we turn that on for an hour or so. We haven't needed to do that yet. When we built the house in '02, my husband told them put the best insulation package in the walls, house and garage and bought the best insulated garage door. So it is paying for itself now.:lol3:

I pretty much use a fan in the bedroom all year.  I need the room that I sleep in to be cool or I will wake up with a headache.  I think I have also gotten to the point where I need the white noise from the fan to sleep.  Sleeping problems started when I was in my late 40s.  Even though I didn't have night sweats I think the sleeping problems started as part of menopause.  I finally stopped 2 1/2 years ago but I still don't sleep as well as I did when I was younger.

I don't have any blankets on my bed.  When it gets cold I just cover up with the comforter.  I still have my windows wide open since it's been pretty warm here still.  We had a few beautiful Fall days but they don't last, the summer just doesn't want to go away.

When it gets really, really cold, I will put my flannel sheets on but the way the weather has been, I won't need them for a while yet.

I turned the heat on last week when I woke up to 50 degrees inside the house. Some years we make it to Halloween without heat, but this isn't one of them.

We hit 85 degrees F on Saturday with t-storms last night. Our first week of October has been more like a week in August! I had all the windows open and the ceiling fans running all day long. And all night last night, too. We're supposed to cool down again this week.

Maybe we're synchronising our seasons..

A balmy 34 degrees here today (about 93 in US)

It's still hot here.  I need to spend some time wistfully looking at real estate websites for Maine again.
