Hey everyone! Last week, my girlfriend and I started fostering a very young kitten. She was about two and a half weeks old when we got her last Tuesday. Already, we have grown so attached as the bonding with such a young kitten is extremely strong as they are completely dependent on us. We have already named her (Big Bang Theory reference, in case you didn't know) and we will be her FURever home once we can legally adopt her from the shelter (12 wks old). Currently, she is on formula and we are beginning the process of weaning slowly, though she is a very greedy formula eater so we may be starting to wean a little faster. :)

This is my first cat on my own as I have always had them but my parents took care of them. We are trying to do the best for our little girl and look forward to any and all advice that you may have regarding anything kitten related.

Oh my gosh, she is adorable:) I know you are probably a bit overwhelmed right now, but have you considered getting her a playmate? I ask because my first cat was very young, also and never learned how to be gentle with her claws when playing. My vet thinks it was because she did not have her mom or littermates to play with and learn from in the first few months. I mean, she is not vicious or anything, she just doesn't get that a playful swat does not include nails. Plus, the only thing cuter than a kitten is multiple kittens:) Just looked at the photo again, she is absolutely precious! And I love her name:)

Thank you! And I have definitely thought about it, but seeing as we live in an apartment, it is pretty expensive just to have one pet, much less two. But we do plan to socialize her with other cats when possible.
