Hi. I have a kitten/cat named Lucy. She's almost 6months old and today was the first time she puked (it had to be my room). I'm also curious what couldve made her puke (poor kitty). I wiped that up with paper towels real good then sprayed Lysol over the 4 spots where it had been. Is it safe for her to be around it?

I would think so, as long as she's not directly sniffing/licking/pawing at it. I think you can get pet friendly enzyme cleaners but I don't know how well they work. I used to use Lysol spray in my kitchen/bathrooms on the counters etc (where the cat sometimes walks) but it's been fine, I just wipe them off with a wet paper towel (with plain water) after a few minutes to remove any residue that could get on her paws.

No.  Apparently the active ingredient in most Lysol products is Benzalkonium chloride which is dangerous to cats.  Don't worry about it this time, but don't use it where she can get at treated areas in future and make absolutely sure it's not stored where she can get at it.

If you want a disinfectant look for one sold as pet-safe.

Any of these substances that end in "sol" contain phenol which is toxic to pets & can be fatal to cats. Cats don't have the appropriate liver enzymes to detoxify these toxins. Lysol is also very high in alcohol which is also toxic to pets. I think if you have to use Lysol - make sure the cats are out of the area and allow to dry. I still would wipe over it even after dried with a damp wet paper towel to get rid of any residue. I have used Lysol in that manner before.
