I'm just wondering what the symptoms are. My little guy (big, actually - 7 month Ragdoll) as always "sneezed" from day one. The breeder and vet suggested it was an URI at the beginning, and he got over that.

Anyway - he has always sneezed a couple of times an hour. His nose is dry, no discharge. Sometimes he will cough for a second or two - but he is very active and otherwise seems fine.

Is is common for kittens to sneeze a couple of times an hour? (Asthma would seem another possibility, but he doesn't seem to have any difficulty breathing and, as I said, is very active.)

Is kitty exploring areas that are dusty - such as behind the dryer, under the bed...any place that is sort of out of reach for you but easily accessed by your kitten?  Are you using dusty litter?

To really be sure - you might want to mention it to your vet.  One of my cats has mild asthma attacks - but they have a distinctive pose when they do that...a lowered head as they crouch and cough.  This was confirmed by x-ray.  They are mild so we don't treat it at this time.

When I got my newer cat, Dexter - he was covered in the dust from the litter they used in the shelter; he sneezed after he groomed for about 10 days. Then, as he explored areas of the house I never dust (top of cabinets, behind dressers....) he had a snout full of dust and would sneeze a few times a day.

Sounds like he's got airborne allergies.  My 2 girls sneeze especially when the weather changes or if they've been exploring in dusty areas.  I give them a daily antihistamine.
