Hi everyone! Glad I found y'all! I know that everyone recommends a vet visit for this, but the kitten was an unexpected delivery to me & Krystal. She came with a runny eye & now both eyes runny and goopy if it takes me a while to clean them. I can't get her in to the Dr anytime soon. Was going to get her check up, shots & spay surgery all at once. I'll be able to take her I'm the time she's ready to be spayed. I'm just flat broke. I'm very disabled & have no money to take her to the Dr. for awhile. In the meantime, are there ANY healthy and safe things to do for baby Lily Ann? She's 9wks. Very normal kitty. Maybe a lil on the hyper side! Thank y'all very much. I know there's things out there, but I cannot seem to find anything. Oh. Well assign ointment, say Neosporin, help to keep dirt out? Well it help at all? Thanks Again!

Sorry about some words that don't make sense. I'm sure y'all were able to get what I meant. I should've checked it before sending. I'm sorry y'all.

Hi and welcome to TCS! It's difficult to treat eyes without knowing the cause of the problem. Eye issues in cats are often caused by the feline herpes virus, so you could supplementing her wet food with l-lysine. Other than that, I'm not sure what else is safe to do other than gently wiping her eyes clean with a warm damp soft cloth. If the eye discharge becomes colored or smelly though, it really becomes an emergency situation, and she will need vet intervention.
