Are there any childhood dreams or wishes you actually had come true, as an adult? If so, what was it?

For me- I loved horses since I was 3. I had pictures & models all over my room of horses & begged my folks for any chance to ride, much less own one. They were NOT amused. Horses cost a fortune to board & my parents were not making the income for that sort of expense. But lo & behold, I inherited a modest sum from my great aunt at 23, & could finally buy my first horse. Went on to the 2nd & 3rd (& last, sadly) that was sold in 1988. This was my greatest wish from childhood, that really did come true... :D How bout you?

I know how you feel- I didn't get to finish my education, either... too busy working just to survive cuz parents wouldn't help me at all. At least you got part of your wish, and have your family that means so much more, right? :)

The whole last year I did go to GED classes but since our car has been down I haven't been there. The price of the test  is going up to 140.00 next year here.in Ohio. I don't know what to do. I promised my father long ago I would get my GED. I feel stupid I can't pass a test. I hate Math but my other tests came back with 90 %.

Over the river and through the woods...
When I was a kid, I used to watch a cartoon called Marine Boy, where Marine Boy would chew gum and be able to breathe underwater. He also had a dolphin and a mermaid as friends. I used to dream that I could breathe under water. So, when I got older, I learned how to scuba dive (yeah, a little more complicated then just chewing gum) and I did swim with dolphins but so far, no mermaids.

I'm still working on the "owning a horse" dream. That may take a BIG raise or winning the lottery!
