Alright so this isn't exactly about my cat's health, it's more about mine haha and I didn't know where to post it. After I got my cat, I realized that I was allergic to her. I was so shocked cause I've literally lived with cats my entire life and I was never allergic, but after I researched about it, turns out that a certain person can be not allergic to many cats but allergic to a certain cat that produces some certain kind of protein that triggers an allergic reaction.
That sucked a lot for me cause every time I'd cuddle or squish her I end up sneezing my brains out and look like I'm crying with my red watery eyes. So i started taking this antihistamine pill that worked quite well and drinking lots of vitamin C since I read that it has natural antihistamine effects. This all worked nicely for the months that came.
I've had her for 7 months now, and my question is, can a person actually become immune to the allergy? It feels like my allergic reactions have lessened with each day and I barely react to her anymore. I just get a bad day or two full of sneezing like once every 3 weeks or so now, so has anyone experienced something like this? I'd love to hear that one can become immune to their cat's allergen!
