I can only think of watching eddie izzard perform a skit talking about pavlov's dogs ..
He says "Day 1, rang bell, dog ate food .. " etc etc then he tried it with a cat "Day 1, rang bell, cat gave me the finger.. Day 2, rang bell, cat ignored me, Day 3 rang bell, cat meowed and purred, Day 4, cat rang bell I ate food"
I have seen so many alarm clock kitties waking up their owners- and have been victim to one in the past.
I thought I'd share my cat Tenchi's latest trick.
I am a student and spend a lot of time at the computer be it socializing, studying, or doing any homework. So Tenchi, who sometimes is my co pilot and sits in the chair next to me decides to be cute.
He sits and stares at me and meows. He won't let me pick him up. Keeps on meowing.. then Right when I stand up to see what he wants, he runs away and lays down and wants nothing to do with me.
He meows jump and I respond with how high?!
