Is my cat still pregnant or has there been a problem?

My cat is only 7 months old and is still very small. We took her to the vet after noticing pregnancy symptoms such as vomiting and gaining a small amount of weight and from feeling my cats stomach the vet said she was definitely pregnant but didn't recommend a scan. It has been about 8 weeks now and she hasn't gained  much weight just a a small amount around her tummy and bulges on her side and is still very active. She hasn't started 'pinking up' and we haven't felt the kittens move in her at all.

But she is still very affectionate, eating loads more than normal and spending a lot of time in the nesting box we have set up for her. She has recently dissapeared for 24 hours which is unusual for her as she is usually a house cat and come back looking smaller but with no signs of distress and wasn't eager to go back out so I don't know if she may have had her kittens and abandoned them. I hope somebody can help as I am confused and worried as to whether she is still pregnant or if something has gone wrong and I am unable to get an appointment with my local vet until Wednesday!

Ha, the easy way is to keep her stricktly indoors.  Now you must guess.

All  variations are possible...  You must play it safe, and go out and search if there is a litter somewhere. Probably a small litter, max 3.  They may still be alive if borne alive.

We had a couple of similiar cases here not so long ago.  Both litters were still alive and made it, after almost 2 days alone!  but you more time goes, chances are going down.

You can perhaps ask a couple of neighbouring friendly kids to help you and search.

And of course take her to the vet on wednesday, if you havent found them before and things cleared out.

Good luck!  *vibes*
