Hi all!
New to the site and loving all the useful information I'm finding!
Just made the switch to an all wet food diet for my 2 girls. So far they're really liking the wellness grain free and Wellruva.
I was wondering if any of you know of an online store where I might be able to get a better deal on the canned specialty food. I guess I didn't realize how expensive the switch would be!!

Hello and welcome to TCS!

So happy to hear your looking to give your kitties a good wet food diet. There are a few good online discount petfood suppliers. Most also have an additional discount when setting up auto ship, which you can change at any time. The one I'm familiar with is petfooddirect.com. Another is chewy.com. Amazon is also a good place if you set up subscription deliveries, also able to change at anytime. The more subscriptions, the bigger your discount.

I love buying wellness canned on Amazon! I could send you some links to great prices of Welnness. Best I've found online with free shipping!

I order Orijen cat food, I used chewy.com because it was cheaper for that food than amazon, so shop around for the best deal. Auto-shipping is great, though my cats eat more in winter so I sometimes have to adjust the shipping date (which is easy to do).

The price is lowered if you get auto shipping, anywhere from 1 month to 6 months and its free to cancel whenever.

Wellness:

Wellruva:

(this one comes with free treats!)

Also quick question about wellruva, do you live near Petco? They have a store brand called Soulistic and its made by wellruva exclusively for them. I've found them to be quite similar to one another! Cheaper for Soulistic too. Its currently on sale at PetCo as well! So worth it too check out.

See if any of your local big box pet stores will do price matching - bring in a printout of the on line price and see what they say!  One of my cats, a very picky 12 yr old female, loooooves  Nutro Natural Choice - similar in price to Wellness.  Tiny little 3 oz cans!   One day I crunched the numbers and discovered that if I was making a similar food at home (my 2nd cat eats home made raw), it would be the equivalent of using a meat that costs $6.00 a pound!

I'm still not over it!  I make awesome raw using beef, lamb and rabbit - all a bit cheaper than her canned.  Nuthin!  Nada!  Eats it once or twice then turns up her nose. "Meh. No. I want the REALLY pricey stuff".

I recently switched my cats to an all wet food diet as well

I don't know if you're still looking for suggestions, but since the switch I've used Petbest.com and have had no issues. My order normally comes within a week. They also have an option for auto-shipping and you get free shipping for orders over $49.

Their Wellness is crazy expensive O_O
I guess I don't really have anything to compare it to, I don't feed wellness :p but most foods and other items on that site are cheaper than at petco or the local feed stores:lol3::lol3:

I have used chewy.com, wag.com and amazon.  I usually get the best prices from chewy.  Although my dog is on prescription meds and wag.com now sells prescriptions.  I am now paying $50 less per month and it is the same pharmacy source as my vet.  It's crazy the mark up that vets do on medications.

Thanks everyone for all of the greAt suggestions! I finally have pinned down what the girls love the most and that's the Wellness (turkey & chicken) and I mix it with a little fancy feast. I started mixing the 2 in the beginning when they wouldn't eat the good stuff on its own. I've continued to do so because I figure it saves me a little money!
They only liked the Wellruba for about a week. They started to just lick up the gravy and leave the pieces of meat, lol. I think it's so funny that they used to eat strictly dry food and now they're so finicky about which wet food they'll eat!! Even to the point of turning their noses up at it, one of my cats will actually turn around and put her back to me if she's doesn't like the food!! Lol
