Hello!!! I'm KittyMommy3, picked that because I have three wonderful furbabies! I'll give you a little back story for each one :)

My love of cats all started with my beloved Tom when I was just 3 years old. He was my best friend and when he passed away at age 10 I didn't adopt another cat for 7 years. Then shortly after I married my husband he came across little Galaxy, and on my birthday no less! Sadly, his love was short lived as he passed away from a snake bite about a year later. After him I swore I would never get another cat.

But then came Nova, my big beautiful boy whose coloring is that of a Broken-Mackerel Tabby, his is also part bobcat (as in the wild cat). He actually looks quite remarkably like his wild ancestry and he has actually been mistaken for an actual bobcat, which can be quite dangerous for him as people often shoot bobcats where I live. We actually had one vet refuse to treat him because of his lineage. We actually didn't even know he was part bobcat until he got a little older. He was the runt of a two kitten litter, sadly the other little one died of exposure very shortly before we came across Nova. He needed our love and my husband and I definitely needed him in our lives because at the time we were struggling with infertility and having a baby of any kind in the house was such a healing experience. Even so, we swore no more after Nova, one rambunctious boy was enough.

Nova at about 2-3 months, his ears don't actually do that though, he had been playing his ears got turned back, he was so cute as a baby, and even in this photo he's a far cry from the pic of him on the day we brought him home! Then again he was very thin when we brought it home and a bit filthy as well!

Almost exactly a year later, Leo, a Red Mackerel Tabby w/ White boy, waltzed right into our hearts. A friend of mine found him and his sister on her porch after someone had dropped them off in the freezing rain and was desperately searching for a home for them because her dogs were not cat friendly. I told her I would take him if she couldn't find a home for him by the end of the week (without telling my husband, who was overseas at the time). A few days later she called saying that sadly the little girl and run off and disappeared but that she had found a home for the little boy. The following Sunday rolled around and it was my baby shower (at last!), she came and said "I have a very special gift for you" and it came time to open gifts and she handed me a blue box (don't worry, it had air holes and everything lol) and I opened it up and out popped little Leo, with a bow on his tiny head and all! I broke the news to my husband via email addressed from our unborn son saying "Daddy, I got this present at my party. I really, really like it....... Plus..... I think it likes me too!!" with this picture of Leo snuggling up to my then huge belly.

Luckily my husband is a cat person and he gladly welcomed him into our home. Once again, we swore NO MORE CATS!

Three months later and our neighbor, who had suffered a major stroke, was forced to give up his part-Egyptian Mau part-Siamese kitten he had gotten while visiting his family in New England. He was going to go to a shelter if no one could take him, so at first we agreed to foster him but the minute Mercury stepped into our home he was ours. He was snuggling up to us and our son and even attempted to snuggle up to Nova and Leo, who didn't take to kindly to it at first haha. Mercury is actually the reason I was brought to this site as Nova was having a few issues with his arrival and I needed some advice. I'm happy to report that all is well now! Mercury is one of the most loving, hyper and openly affectionate cats I have ever seen and is a light in our lives! He is a far cry from the distant but calmly affectionate Nova and then sweet but lazily affectionate Leo.

Sorry for the quality of the pic, he rarely holds still for one and I had to take the opportunity to get it with my phone while I could haha

So right now I am the only girl in a house of 5 boys! But I couldn't imagine it any other way and our silly family is absolutely perfect! And while I would gladly welcome another furbaby into our home if one ever chose us, we don't plan on actively getting another furbaby for a good while! So thats us; Me, Hubby, Son and the Furbabies!
