I got this kitten from the shelter.. She is obviously some kind of siamese or colourpoint shorthair. What I'm concerned about is her very small eyes? Is this normal? Will they get bigger? Does this affect hervision? most kittens have giant eyes.

That is a beautiful kitty! I don't see anything wrong with the eyes.

I did find a disorder in cats called microphthalmia which means the cat has small eyes and it can cause issues with sight. Having said that the photos I saw showed eyes that were way smaller than your kitties eyes.

Here are some links I found about it:

http://www.vetbook.org/wiki/cat/index.php/Microphthalmia

If you type it into yahoo or google and look at the images you will see various degrees of the problem. If you are still worried or notice trouble with your little ones vision I'd call your vet or ask when the kitty goes in for a check up. Again, that is such a cute cat, I think it just looks like it has sad puppy eyes.

Eyes look fine to me. The only thing 'wrong' is that many colour points have almond shaped and somewhat slanted eyes which make them look smaller. I am so used to almond shaped eyes, all I could think is what a pretty cat and such nice sapphire eyes.
