I apologize if this isn't the right area to post this but it isn't really about cat health issues and more about our vet.
I took Hina the stray we took in that had kittens to get tested for fiv and felv before introducing her to all our other kitties. Then my dads cat Mama had a swollen eye lid and was sneezing a little so I took her in since we were already going.
Dr. Larson always takes time to cuddle and calm the cats then gives them time to calm down if they are freaking out as do her techs. She has 8 cats that live at her office and has cat trees all over and toys lol. When I first brought a cat to her I asked the lady at the desk how many cats they had and she took me all around the clinic and showed me everyone and told me a little about them.
At our visit today Hina got a clean bill of health and was so well behaved everyone loved her, my dads cats was nervous but did good and got meds for her eye. Dr. Larson wanted us to bring in the kittens to get started on some shots tomorrow and then vaccinated Hina in a week or so. She has the kindest heart and knew we had taken Hina in as a stray so she took $30 off our visit today and tomorrow when we bring the kittens in she is only charging us 50% for the vaccines and nothing for their office visit. She has the kindest heart and has a good samaritan fund set up at her practice for people that save cats and for people having trouble paying her. I didn't ask for a discount and when she brought it up I tried to refuse to which she asked if I'm rich lol. I started crying in the room and her helper started getting teary because of me. She has gone above and beyond for all of our pets starting with Casey which she had to put down for us and cried the whole time.
I will keep bringing my catss to her as long as she is around and I will always recommend her to people around Salt Lake City. There are so many vets closer to where we live but the drive is always worth it!
Do any of you have amazing vets you'd like to share about?
