I just rescued a beautiful ball of fur from NY acc I live in PA, but when she got here to her forever home she has a URI. How ling should I keep her away from my two other kitties? I don't want them getting sick to, I gave tish meds from the vet already.

I would ask your vet, but I'd keep them separated for a bit anyway and slowly introduce her scent to your current 2 kitties. Hopefully by the time she is no longer a risk of spreading the URI, you'll be able to go further in the intro's.

Yep, agree with Katluver. You want introductions to go smoothly and you need to give your other two kitties time to adjust to the "smell" of another cat in the house anyway. Best to keep them separated until Tish is all better and has a negative stool check. I would recommend two weeks time and in that time you can spend bonding with her and keeping an eye on her health. Best to not stress her out by doing too much too soon and especially if she is sick right now. Keep her quiet, comfortable and feeling secure as she tries to recover and adjust to her new home. Thank you for rescuing her! :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

I know how hard it is to hear them crying behind a closed door :sniffle: But, you may only need to confine her for another week as long as she is improving and feeling better. The antibiotic should be working well by now and hopefully you are seeing that she is recovering quickly. :vibes::vibes::vibes: Good luck with those introductions!!! Keep us posted. :wavey:
