It's about time! I love wearing boots. So when the weather got colder this week, I dug out my boots and grabbed a few sweaters and I've been wearing them this week. I'll take boots over any other footwear (except for those Scholl sandals
) any day!

I can tell that my legs are much better because all of my boots have heels and I've not had any trouble at all. (so far)

There's just something about wearing a nice pair of boots that makes my day.

Anybody else a boot-lover?

Not boots. It is hardly ever cold enough where I live. Sill short sleeve weather here.

I love my Keen hiking boots in the winter :D. But no heels; I nevereverever wear any kind of heels. I would definitely hurt myself if I tried :tongue2:.

I used to wear boots all the time.  I miss it sometimes.  Even with jeans I felt a little more pulled together.  I wear clarks mosly now.  They have a little height; but are still flats.  My feet got wide after having my first and things with heels just don't feel good anymore.  My feet and/or my legs hurt.  I'm sure there is a weight issue to it too.  Boo.

I was wondering if you got your sandals yet and if they are a suitable replacement for the other pair!

It's our first really chilly morning here.  I put the kids in warmer jammies last night and didn't really want to get out of my covers this morning.  I had to go cover DS with a blanket. It hasn't been below 70 in the house in months!

Haven't worn boots since we lived in NY. Not much occasion here in SW Fla. However I did love wearing boots in the NY cold weather. Only problem I used to have was some boots didn't fit around my calves (fat leg calves?) - oops, hate to admit it, but I needed the kind of boots that were sort of stretchy at the calves.

I used to wear boots but after I broke my ankle and had surgery, I have less than 1/3 of the mobility in that ankle that I should have, and because of that, I have a hard time getting that foot into a boot because I can't point my foot enough.  So I wear track shoes, even in the winter. Luckily I don't have to walk great distances or my feet would freeze.

I love knee boots, but I have weird calves, and a lot of trouble getting them to zip up. Even wide-calf boots are a problem. I have been wearing my elastic-sided riding boots (I have them on now) and a pair of black "sweater" boots.

I think it's because I have short legs, with a big curve on the calves. They are not fat; they are muscular.  I see women who have far fatter calves than I do, wearing normal boots with no problem! In fact, I saw a woman today, who must've weighed at least 75-100 lbs more than me (for reference, I wear medium, sometimes small, in clothing), and she had on knee boots--there was even a little gap at the top.  I NEVER have that gap! Mine fit tightly. I'd love to be able to tuck my jeans into my boots, like normal women!

I love boots, too. My favorite the last few years have been just above the ankle but last year I found some knee-high ones I really like that are very comfortable. I was worried they might be too hot but they were okay because they are leather so they breathe, and have some wiggle room around the calves.

My snow boots were also ankle-high which wasn't very practical for snow above the ankles, but then again it doesn't snow here that much. Last year I bought knee-high boots for it but it never snowed at all, go figure.

I would love to get a pair (or two) of knee high boots; I had a pair years and years ago and I don't know why I got rid of them.

I have an old pair of Sorel boots that I wear when it gets really nasty around here. I use them for shoveling the driveway and the walks (yes, I've had to shovel our driveway by myself.....at least twice that I can remember, when Rick was in Oregon, we had blizzards and I was home alone (anybody remember the Presidents' Day weekend blizzard a few years ago? I was home alone during that one, too. It took Rick 4 days to get home because of airports being closed). Takes me all day to shovel myself out, but I can do it, if I have to).

Now, thankfully, we have a guy come in and plow out the driveway when we get more than six inches of snow.
