My Meow Meow is nearing the 12 week mark, and I'm planning on taking her off RC babycat at 16 weeks. Right now she wont touch the RC unless I add FreshPet Select Chicken With Carrots & Spinach Cat Food Recipe. I like the Rc for it's nutritional content for kittens, but I also like the fresh pet because the ingredients are: Chicken, Chicken Liver, Ocean Whitefish, Natural Flavors, Eggs, Carrots, Spinach, Pea Protein, Pea Fiber, Vinegar, Salt, Taurine.

I still feel like she'd need food with more nutritional value at 16 weeks to add to the fresh pet. Any suggestions?

For cats, you want to see as few plant ingredients as possible. Wet food is best. There are a number of fairly decent choices in each price range. The cheapest would be Friskies pate flavors only (not the shreds or filets or anything---they have less meat and more carbs). Authority (a Petsmart brand) is decent and not too expensive. Trader Joe's brand too. Dave's Natural Food is not too expensive. For the higher-quality foods, Evo 95% is reasonably priced. There are some pre-made raw foods that end up being cheaper than a high-quality canned food.
