Thanks all.  I'm fine now.  :hugs:   I don't remember exactly what happened, but I fell after getting out of bed.  I hit my head and have a concussion, though the symptoms are improving and I can tell I am getting a little better each day.

I only have cat toys and (people) treats to buy to finish out my Secret Santa shopping.  I did notice that Wal-Mart has out their Christmas candy now, so I made some mental notes while I was there.   :present: :present:
Surely you got some in advance to do taste testing. :yummy:

Cat show this weekend. Between the vendors and the raffle I should be able to finish my SS shopping. Maybe. Hmm, have to go look at the hints thread again and make sure I'm shopping for the right person. :happy2:

I had to do that!  I almost bought something thinking my person said they like a certain thing.  But I'm glad I didn't because I would have been all wrong!

We are having Thanksgiving early; tomorrow actually. I'm up finishing the pies and an apple crisp because I cut WAAAAY too many apples up!  So once I recuperate from our early Thanksgiving; I've got a good list of things to check off for my Santee!  I have a few things from one place in particular to pick up.  I just need to get there!

Good luck at the cat show!

I have a stupid question.  Are you supposed to put your name on the package or, just write Secret Santa?  I don't know if the person you send to should be knowing who sent it!

It's up to you.  Some people go to great lengths to hide their identities!
But it's not a bad idea to write Secret Santa on the package too.  I've had people do that but sign a card that was enclosed.  I've had people just sign "Secret Santa" or sign from their cats.  Have fun with it if you want!

Thanks Mooch!  That helps.  I have a feeling I might have to put more info on the package than just "Secret Santa".  I can't imagine the NYC post office is going to let that fly lol.

I've used my husband's name on mine too. Like when I've had to do customs forms to ship overseas. But if you don't use your real name on here it won't matter anyway I guess!

I am still shopping.  I am awaiting a certain elusive cookie that I want to use as my local gift.  I apologize if I've already mentioned this cookie...I am kind of forgetful lately.  And it is a very special cookie.  Probably one worth mentioning twice.

After posting on natalie_ca's thread about UPS, l thought l'd post a friendly reminder that if anyone is shipping across borders/internationally, to be sure it is clearly labelled "GIFT" so nobody gets dinged for customs or brokerage fees.

lt's starting to feel Christmasy!

So. I'm at the post office sending off my gift. It is going very FAR away.  There is actually something in the box I didn't claim on the customs form.  Not because it's illegal but because it's liquid and they wanted you to put that into a separate pouch, and label it as such.  I'm like, there is no way I'm pulling apart this beautiful box (which I had to put in another box of course) just to tell them about that one item.  So, I'm hoping it does not break!  But I'm sure it won't.  I was very careful about how I packed the first box and there just isn't even any room for it to move around.

But, I will apologize in advance to my person (muwahahaha!) if they get a box that is stickier than they expected (try and figure that one out!).

EDIT: Oh I forgot - there are 2 liquids!  But the other is in plastic so no worries there!

I finished the last of my shopping tonight!  That doesn't mean my package is ready to send off; but all the buying part is done!  At least I sure hope it is!  I need to figure out what size box I will need!  Yikes!!

It's actually taking willpower to NOT get decorations out right now.  I plan to wait till later this week; Thanksgiving day.  I need to rearrange a few things before I can put the tree up anyway.  It's probably a good thing everything is in the attic!  I'm scared to try to get the totes down myself.  Our garage has a high ceiling and the attic is over that with drop down stairs.  I've actually never been all the way up there.  Funny; my Grandparent's attic has drop down stairs over their basement stairs and that has never scared me now that I'm thinking of it.  Hmm....maybe come nap time Mommy will be doing some heavy lifting!!

I stayed up till almost 2 am working on a gift last night.  The coffee is extra yummy today!

I've got a trip planned the first two weeks in December. I'll be shipping a package off to my SS this weekend for an early delivery date. Or maybe I'll wait until I get home so it gets there just in time for Christmas. Which shall I do? wonder if my santee is a lightsider or darksider.
