Laurie I pray Ellen has some good news for you and Kohl returns to you soon.    It is such a heartwrenching thing - the lack of control and the not-knowing.     My dear Hercules has been missing for a month now.    I didn't post about it at first because I've posted so many times before and then he showed right back up, but I worry this time it may be for real.    I may be contacting Ellen soon myself!

Many vibes for dear Kohl that she comes home right away and if not that wherever she may be that she always finds her way to safety and love

:yeah: Geez, :sniffle:, my thoughts exactly. I am sorry to hear that Hercules has gone missing too. Bastfriend, you are right about the "heartwrenching" part of caring for feral kitties. Completely agonizing with great sadness when we just don't know where they disappeared too. :shame:

Oh Bastfriend, I'm so sorry! :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

Maybe this will help you too. :heart2:

Ellen was briefly in touch with Khol in the wee hours of the morning. Her first sense is that Khol is alive, and exploring neighboring areas. She sees trails with houses at the end of them. (We live in a very rural area, and this could very easily be deer trails).

But Bastfriend, this is the part to which I was referring.

When they come back ~ and they often return to us~ they will have learned many lessons, and taught us so many lessons, too.
So understand that Spirit is eternal, and that even when they leave us physically that they are never gone. Love and light, Ellen

The relevant part of my reply:

I know the dynamics of the cat colony are beyond my comprehension. Apart from the worry, I can't help like feeling I've failed them in some way when they've been regular, long-time residents and then leave.

I feel, sense, believe, and understand that the Spirit is eternal. But being the imperfect human I am, my feelings can freely conflict, and despite my knowledge that there's no benefit to worrying over what I can't control, the worry happens. ;-)

...but one of the reasons I love being in contact with you is because the reminders are both appreciated and comforting.

Obviously I still have lessons in letting go (and I'm sure MANY other things!)

But THANK YOU for the reassurance that she's OK.

....

So we'll find out later if Khol was at all chatty. I hope she's in the mood to "talk." :)

The relief for me as re: Khol, of course, is that she is OK. Not hurt, not sick. Ellen's been right about so many things too many times for me to have any doubts. :sun: :heart2:

I hope Hercules is also just out exploring - and comes back home soon. :heart2: :heart2: :heart2:

KHOL CAME HOME FOR DINNER.

And Ellen sent me her conversation with Khol. Basically, she is ready to move inside, and went searching for a family. She wants a little girl to love. She found a home a little girl with blond hair. Ellen saw geraniums on the deck. We taught her to trust; she was broken and afraid when she found us. She loves me very much, and will come back (she did :lol3: ).

Baloo protects the territory here like a guard dog; he is very offensive, takes his job very seriously, and is very off-putting to many of the ferals.

***********************

The only thing that didn't necessarily make sense was that Khol said the family was feeding her. But she was thin (well thinner) and starving. But maybe "feeding" is just the little girl giving her some treats... :dk: Obviously human-animal communication isn't perfect. :lol3:

*************************

Ellen added that perhaps Baloo is there to help all of the ferals feel boundaries, and find themselves spiritually rather than become dependent on Gary and I: Baloo is tough on them, and then they must rely on their own instincts.

...which makes sense, actually. It "fits" with lessons for me: I have a tendency to create dependency. So Baloo is here for all of us. And because of him, the ferals may be spurred to seek a home where then can be loved and cared for in a way Gary and I can't, because our home is full.

:heart3:

I want to help Khol find "her" family. :heart2:

Now I feel guilty we can't foster them (the friendly ones) inside to help them find their homes. :lol3: Froggie and Dot deserve homes too. :heart3:

I'm exhausted - for so many reasons. But I'm so glad Khol's OK.

Thank you all for the vibes, they worked! :hugs:

I'm so glad to hear that Kohl is OK. Wouldn't it be wonderful if you could find that family and she got to have a proper home with that little girl?

It breaks my heart not to be able to take in all the feral kittens I feed, they all need a special loving home too but with 10 cats in the house already I'm really at my limit. The best I can do is make sure they are fed and spayed and keep them as safe as possible outside.

I sent an e-mail to Ellen to ask if she can help locate my cat, George. He's been gone six months now and the other animal communicators I spoke to haven't been able to contact him. Maybe he'l talk to Ellen.......

I am so happy to know your kitty is home.

I know very well how exhausting  it is to worry.

My husband thinks animal communication is hocus pocus and waste of money.

But I truly believe in it.  I took workshop and it was useful.

It works!!

Sometimes I wonder whether if we just have faith that the best will be done, it will be.  I'm sure Khol doesn't want you to feel guilty.  She may be so pleased to be home and fed that not coming inside may not be quite so important, at least for a while.

She's special girl..

I am so happy Khol came home!!  It definitely brings peace of mind for the time being.  They seem to give us constant worry.  Hopefully she stays home and fills her tummy with good food.

My Patches has been gone now for 6 months.  I have checked in with the animal communicator I use and he is still alive.  He knows I have my hands full.  He says he will be back in the winter.  I just wish he would stop by so I could actually see him.  I know he was spotted in the area in late May, but have heard nothing since.  I miss him so much.  He had such a calming presence to him.

You must feel relief that she is home safe and sound.

AW HUN.......... :bawling: and :D..... all at the same time. What you said above, IS SO TRUE! And something, I can't get past either and probably never will. I know in my mind and soul that Spirit is eternal, but my heart will never understand that, no matter how much I know it to be true. The worry will happen.

KHOL CAME HOME FOR DINNER.

:heart2::heart3::jump: :woohoo: :woo:  :rub: YAY YAY YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! KOHL, THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :heart2: :high5: :bigthumb: :clap::clap::clap::clap::heart2::heart3:

Now, at least we will know if she goes off again, that she will be alright. but, we will still worry if she does. :sigh:

p.s. I am sorry that she is thinner, and maybe she was just not getting enough of the good stuff on that deck. I do hope that she sticks around and please try not to feel guilty about what she wants. You know she loves you and she knows how much you love her and how very special you are, and that just has to be enough...... IF she had not found her way to you in the first place, can you imagine the life she would be leading??? All of the litters of kittens??? :bawling: Oh, how I wish those irresponsible, ignorant and uncaring cat owners could read our stories of love, pain and heartache over them not spaying or neutering their cats. Maybe, just maybe, they would understand the wrongs they have made in not doing so. (sorry, just a little rant, and well warranted one at that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :soap:)
