My all white cat has gone missing.  He has been missing for almost 2 days now.  He has one blue eye and one green eye and is completely deaf.  He does not have a collar on because he is not supposed to be outside.  I have looked everywhere and put up signs all around the neighborhood.  I have called every local animal shelter and animal hospital in the area.  If someone please has tips on how to find him or what else i can possible do please let me know.  I am worried sick and fear the worst.  It is devistating.  I fear that either someone picked him up or an animal got ahold of him.  He has never strayed away from the house.  Please if you have any information or tips please PM me.

Hello. So sorry to hear you lost your kitty. Is he neutered? Looks like you have covered all the bases in trying to find him. I'd post flyers at all the area vet offices also. Not sure if that is what you meant by animal hospitals. Most cats don't stray too far from home and he may be close by yet. You could knock on all your neighbors doors, or leave flyers in their mail boxes.

Sending vibes he returns to you soon.

Hello,

I'm so sorry to hear that your cat has gone missing. If he doesn't usually go outside he is probably hiding somewhere close by, too scared to move. There are some good links on the first post of this thread that you could check.

http://www.thecatsite.com/t/248019/tips-for-finding-a-lost-cat

Try putting some of his favourite food out around your neighbourhood and waiting to see if he appears. the best time to do this is between midnight and 4 a.m. when everything has gone quiet and cats are at their most active.

I hope you find him. Keep us posted and let us know if he comes home.

I am SO very sorry about your lost kitty. His sense of smell and sight are most likely quite heightened due to the lack of hearing so I would bank on putting out things that smell like him. Beds, a litter box, something from inside the house that he spends much time on, some of your worn clothes. I really hope that your kitty is found quickly. Make up some picture flyers and post them all over the neighborhood and at local, nearby vet offices.

All my best to you in the hopes that your find your sweet cat. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

Please tell us when you find him! I had a deaf cat too, and they are pretty good outside, they usually put their back to a wall and rely heavily on their sight. Please don't give up, keep walking the neighbor hood, I would bet he is hiding out. Make sure you KEEP contacting the animal shelters, they are not very good at passing on info to others. Our radio station has a spot for lost pets for free, you might call yours. Good luck, I'll pray for his safe return!

Rent a humane live trap or 2 from a local humane organization & try canned mackerel from the grocery store on a bed of food he's familiar with (read online about how to bait the trap). The mackerel (in the tuna aisle) is really smelly so cats smell it from quite the distance. Cover the trap one 3 side so the he'll be less afraid of entering the trap. Even place a (small, soft only)toy she loves at the far end that he's familiar with. If you can possibly get two traps I'd do one right where he got out....and another back around another side of your building in case he ran blindly, but didn't want to totally leave what's slightly familiar. Call for him often!!!! Even if its through the screen windows when you're inside! We once had a totally indoor cat get out, evade all trapping, searching, etc--only to have her show up days later at a screen window during a tv show she'd heard me watch a lot!!!! In the meantime-xerox (color if possible) your best photo of her along with description of physical/traits (a very small reward never hurts)& phone #--- post on all nearby phone posts, put in neighbors mailboxes/door frames in at least a 5 block radius (tell them to CALL & keep an eye on her till you get there ---NOT to catch unless you know she'll go to strangers or she'll spook further), & also post flyers at all vets, animal clinics, shelters --even grocery stores, schools, walmarts etc. And put the flyer up on your Facebook page & ask all to spread it! Don't forget to call all the shelters ASAP in case someone picked her up!!!!

You probably know most of these-but if just one works thats great!!!! Keep us posted-we've all got fingers crossed!
