You find out your new stray kitten does NOT have leukemia?? I have been through the best and worst with taking in stray cats and the 5 minutes it takes for the test results to come back are the most stressful time at the vet! I get flashbacks to stray cats who were diagnosed, I get extremely upset, but then you point out to yourself how seemingly healthy, so no she can't be sick, and you secretly know that even seemingly healthy cats can be diagnosed. You try to plan your future vaccination visits and say goodbye all at the same time. It's a great feeling when you can celebrate and toast to your new family member's health!
