Hello! I'm a new cat owner. I have a kitten who is about 8weeks now. What should I be feeding her? Currently I've been rotating with brands, flavors and cuts. Such as 9 Lives, Friskies, Wellness, Pro Plan and Fancy Feast. I'm a full time student so I cant buy her expensive food all the time. I do my best to avoid grains in her food and shes mostly on an all wet diet. She gets dry food only when I know I will be gone for a while, which isnt too often, about once a week, and even then she only has dry for lunch. I would love some advice on the diet I should be feeding her, thanks!

Hi and welcome to TCS! I think the diet you are feeding is pretty good. Wellness grain frees are good and the Fancy Feast and Friskies classic pates are not bad either. I'm not as familiar with 9lives and ProPlan. As long as they are high in animal protein/low to no carbs, you are doing fine. There's a good comparison chart of common foods available in the US here. http://www.catinfo.org/docs/FoodChartPublic9-22-12.pdf

Rotation of brands and flavors is good to provide nutritional diversity as well as providing options should a food be recalled or discontinued. It also should help prevent pickiness.
