My cat is 13 Tee, he has a large lump with a black spot, I am wondering if it really needs removed?  He has had the lump most of his life, the vet said its too big, but I think it alerted the vet b/c Tee went for an eye appt and I was putting apple cidar on the lump and shaved the area, I hope im not going to be charged for nothing.  I thought another vet said it was a wart.  Any thoughts about this?  When I pet him you can feel the bumps, he gets small ones from time to time.

Where are these lumps?  Have they changed in size or color?  If you're concerned, talk to a second vet for another opinion.

Stephanietx, on side in back, hes going in for surgery soon.  it has grown over the years, its ugly soft ball, gray and movable so I guess we need to get it removed, I guess it could burst and cause other problems.

I hope the vet biopsies it so you'll get a better idea of what is causing this.

tee just had two warts (tumors) removed BUT my old cat is hissing at him and she is hiding, I think she thinks I brought home a new cat.

That's pretty normal when one cat has been under anesthesia.  The other cat doesn't recognize the smell of the cat that was at the Vet.  It might take a day or two for things to return to normal.

So how is Tee doing?  Were the tumors benign?

Tee (Tiggers) is doing so good, he is so happy purring and rubbing.  He looks like frankencat.  My old cat is back to her normal self, thank god!  His tumors are benign.

How did his eye get scratched?  If it's scratched, that is probably what it is watering, and he may not necessarily have a cold.  But, yes, it's probably good that he's on an antibiotic anyway, for either the scratch, or a possible upper respiratory infection.  Is he still eating ok?  That's sometimes an issue when they have a URI.  If he appears to lose his appetite, try warming his food slightly to bring out the smell of it.
