Just like in humans, the cold is likely caused by a virus, so nothing you can give her can affect that.  If you take her to the vet, they will likely give her antibiotics to fight the secondary infections, but unless she is very sick, that usually isn't necessary.  One of the most frequent causes of respiratory tract infections in cats is the Feline Herpes virus, and you can lessen its effect with doses of L Lysine, which is readily available at any pharmacy without a prescription.  Look through the messages here (use the search feature) and you will find a number of threads on this subject.

How old is your kitten?  And is she eating OK?

She started eating this morning I'm keeping her hydrated she has been a little better since she went outside in my backyard to get fresh air but she's only 5 months old

You can always warm up some wet food if she doesn't seem to want to eat.  Warming it brings out the smell, and with a stuffy nose, it's harder to smell, obviously.  Also, you can put her in a steamy bathroom after having run a hot shower.  The humidity is good for them to breathe in.

If she's congested, you can steam her in the bathroom.  Get your bathroom nice and steamy then sit in there with her until the steam dissipates.  That will help clear her nose.  Be sure she continues to eat, drink, and use the box normally.  If you notice any change in those things or she becomes extremely lethargic or she starts doing open mouth breathing, get her to the vet immediately.  You can add a splash of plain baby pedialyte to her wet food with a bit of water to keep her enzymes up and help with hydration.  Warm up the wet food a bit in the microwave or in a water bath to help entice her to eat.
