Hi Jean, sorry to hear that about your cat. Did the vet do a biopsy? Is it cancer? Are you facing a decision as to whether to do the surgery or not? What is the prognosis from the vet?

I know it's hard to hear that something is wrong with your furbaby but until you get a diagnosis and are presented with some options and recommendations from the vet, please try not to panic. If you're faced with a decision and want to discuss the options here, we can certainly offer our opinions and experiences. Many hugs for you.

Hi there

I dont have your name, they did take a biopsy and they said it was cancer, they said they could operate on tuesday to remove lump, which i feel i will have

to let them do they will check her lungs to see if she has any tumours in there if not they wont be able to do it.i know it sounds selfish and i should be thinking of her

but i cant sleep dont want to eat.i am having anxiety attacks im thinking of going to get something to calm me down.i feel so sad i dont know how i will cope without her.

thank you for getting back to me.

kind regards

Hi Jean. I know what you're feeling, I remember distinctly how I felt when the vet first looked up from my Cindy and said "She has a mass in her abdomen."  It's hard to take a breath and calm down and wait to find out what's going on, all I did was bawl.  Well that was nearly a year ago and Cindy is still with us.  We are having other issues right now, but we did successfully treat her for cancer and she is in remission, so often there are good options to follow.  Hang in there and don't give up hope
And let us know what you find out, please.

Jean, I see you responded on another thread that they did do a biopsy and it has been confirmed that it is cancer.  I have asked that that response be moved over to this thread so everyone can see it.

Believe me when I say I think we can all emphathize with what you are going thru, the panic, the sleeplessness, the worry, the wondering what you will do if she doesn't make it
.  For right now, though, please just try to think positive thoughts and remember that cats are very sensitive to our feelings and know that she can pick up on your stress.  It's hard, but take deep breaths and cuddle with her and enjoy your time together now before she goes in for her next round of tests.

that it hasn't spread and they can remove the lump and it's benign.

BTW, chemo is done on cats, and they usually take it much better than humans.

My cat is 13 Tee, he has a large lump with a black spot, I am wondering if it really needs removed?  He has had the lump most of his life, the vet said its too big, but I think it alerted the vet b/c Tee went for an eye appt and I was putting apple cidar on the lump and shaved the area, I hope im not going to be charged for nothing.  I thought another vet said it was a wart.  Any thoughts about this?

We cannot really give you any medical advise on this, not seeing it, or knowing your cat's history (besides the fact that we are not Vets).  I would say to try to find the original Vet who said it was a wart, or at least mention that to this new Vet.  But my question to you is, if you thought it was a wart that he has had almost his entire life, why are you now treating it with apple cider vinegar?  Has something about it changed?  If so, then perhaps it was something like a mole that humans get, and they say if you notice a change in them, then you should be seen by a doctor.

Also, perhaps you should start up a new thread on this rather than having it intertwined with My Destiny's.  Her furbaby's lump has been biopsied and it has come back as cancerous
