Hi Cat Lovers,

My name is Bryan and I own a 6.5 year old Cat with Cerebellar Hypoplasia.  His name is nugget and he desperately needs a home as soon as possible.  I can no longer take care of him.  He has been to California Animal Rehab and has improved a lot.  He walks sometimes and he made a lot of progress at the Rehab center.  I am looking to place him in a home where he will be provided attention to his stretches and his exercises and some one who can give him the ultimate care and even take him to rehab.

I have attached a video below.

Nugget is a special kitty and has inspired me artistically and spiritually over the last 6.5 years.  He has trouble using th litter box, but i know with the proper training he could use it again.  Please help me find a home or send me in the right direction to get nugget a safe place.  Thank you so much

Bryan Smith

1. Why can you no longer keep him? You doubtless know this, but chances of someone taking a 6 year old CH cat are extremely slim.

2. Where are you located? Have you tried placing him locally?

Then I wonder what has caused you to need to rehome this special kitty? The video is a bit upsetting when you pinch his toes and pinch the tip of his tail to get him moving. I am not surprised he snapped at you at one point in the video.

Please try to find a foster network in your area that can take this kitty for you. He is a beautiful boy and I hope that he finds the right home. We would also need to know where you are located so if by chance one of our members lives in your area and has a thought on where to place him. Poor Nugget - rehoming him will be hard for him. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

I didn't watch the video until now.  I agree- I can't understand why you were doing that to his tail.  There are other, better ways to get a cat to move than by hurting him
Three obvious examples: toys, treats, praise.

Hi Bryan

I've removed your video,  because as mentioned it was disturbing to see you nipping at Nuggets toes and tail, especially when he already has issues.

Is it a form of treatment?

I don't know where you're located, but an organization in Defiance, Ohio is a feline-only, no-cage, no-kill----& they do have, when they can, take CH cats...going out of their way to get them. They're online if you'd like to contact them--//they even have a 24/7 web can. Friends of Feline Rescue Center on Defiance, Ohio. Definitely worth a call-the owner is well connected!
