Hi, thank you for reading.  I hope a caring veterinarian has come across my post, but even if youre not maybe you ll find mine and Bobo's story worth reading.

My cat Bobo was a funny pot belly calico, a gentle friendly pet who loved greeting people and little dogs. She enjoyed walking with me outdoors and waited for me and followed me around and many people mistook her for a little dog. I had her  eight years. The thought of her will always bring me happiness. She died early Saturday morning Aug 24 @4am at an emergency pet hospital in Grapevine, Texas . None of the vets that have seen her have a good idea of her underlying desease or the cause of her death. I have provided links to her tests and xrays and please see below my summary of symptoms and events leading up to her death.

medical records: bloodwork taken twice, xrays taken twice and a radiologist's report on the first xrays, urinalysis

enlarged xrays:

https://plus.google.comhttps://thecatsite.com/members/0"stinky" food  but did not mention feeding tubes or IV fluids as an option. went over bloodwork, did xrays. During the visit I noticed her pupils dilating and contracting, which continued non stop till she died 3 days later. That day I offered her some cooked chicken broth and rubbed her nose with it which normally would get her to start eating, but she hardly licked it. I then gave her diluted wheatgrass juice
( about 1 part to 20 part water) from a syringe 1.5 ml every 30 minutes with some breaks. I also did a bentonite clay water with probiotics anema, a diluted wheatgrass anema from the same ear syringe as before.  3rd day, she would still move about, seemed weaker but also more restless, but I didnt thionk she was in pain.  I called dr Hudak I said wanted to take her same day to internists/specialists at center for veterinary specialty care in Carrollton, TX, recommended by her. Dr Hudak had to called them  and scheduled her for next day instead. I talked to Sabrina, the receptionist at center for veterinary specialty care and asked if she thought I should instead go same day and pay extra 300 for same day visit, based on symptoms. she asked how is her heart beat and if she is breathing heavily and those seemed fine, so she said it was ok to wait. That day  I got a urine sample from Bobo as she used her litterbox for the last time, which I took straight to Creekside for anaysis. Next day, my cat seemed a bit improved, but still not eating. The specialist decided she likely has irrtitable bowel syndrome and wanted to do ultrasound to confirm. Her tech brought out a whole list of tests they wanted to do, many of which were done just a few days ago. when I asked the reason for redoing these tests, I didnt get any diffinitive answer. Feeding tubes and IV fluids were not on either of the two treatment plans they brought for me.  I felt like my cat was in crisis, but they were trying to confirm IBS or cancer, chronic illnesses. Dr Case did not state anything about the need for feeding tube or iV. Dr Case said that IBS treatment consists of a change in protein source and some anti-inflamatory drugs to treat condition.  Overall I felt that Dr Case was not addressing the true condition, and I did not do any of the tests, but I went out and bought fresh chicken liver, duck, and all meat rabbit and fish canned food to see if my cat would eat that. offered her some liver and she tried to lick her lips put puked some very toxic fluid that stunk overwhelmingly like very rotten putrefying meat. I decided that she has food poisoning and started giving her diluted cambrian blue clay with water and probiotic syringes also only 1.5 ml each half hr so that she wouldnt throw up plus a couple anemas. Next day I continued with that, and with her last clay anema she let out a grunt and a minute later a rock hard stool vame out, but she didnt look imporved, but instead her feet were collapsing under her and I forced diluted liver from syringe. Cant remember if she was able to keep it in, but within that hour I rushed her to emergency hospital where she was finally placed on sodium fluids, but not anything else because she was too weak and per potassium and blood sugar was extremely high.  When I went to see her on the emetrgency table with IV in her par, she had already gone into a comatose state and died within that hour.

based on final tests and xrays does it look like cause of death is liver lipidosis?

What factors are present that are not typical of liver lipidosis that may have contributed to her death?

What may have been her underlying condition?

could mosquitos cause anemia and low platelet count?

is anemia with malnutrition?

what may have caused low platelet count and high calcium in first bloodwork?

what may have caused high potassium and blood sugar in last bloodwork?

could this be Vitamin A/D toxicity?

why wouldnt a vet insist on placing my cat on feeding tube and IV knowing she is dehydrated and not eating?

I had full faith in providing her with a good diet and did not do any bloodwork all the time I had her.  I really think if I had done that and taken her earlier symptoms seriously she would be alive today.   Thank you

I am not a vet or a vet tech and I don't think there are any vets here, so take anything I say with a grain of salt.  A lot of this of course goes right over my head but I am seeing garlic and anemia.  I know there is a type of anemia caused by garlic but that is the extent of what I know.

I don't know why a feeding tube wasn't put in.  Some vets seem much quicker to go to a feeding tube than others.  My cat had fatty liver and was immediately placed on a feeding tube.  Fatty liver disease produces very distinctive blood test results, the liver enzymes are very high, I don't think it would have been missed with a blood test.
