Margaret was found wandering the streets. My friend called me and asked if I could help. We knocked on doors and as near as we could determine, she was left by renters who moved. She's such a friendly girl and in such good health, we were afraid she'd escaped and they couldn't find her.
As she was outside for two or three weeks before my friend called me, we figured she was a true stray. I've had her for a little more than two weeks. She's been combo-tested (negative), spayed and is gaining weight. I took her to the vet for a well-baby check and mentioned to the vet, who knows all about my fostering activities, that we were looking for a home for her.
The vet tech very shyly asked if I'd consider her as a new mom. I almost cried! So Margaret went home today - to a ten acre horse farm!
Her new mom said she loved Margaret's crossed eyes, as do I.
