This spot is available!!!! If you are interested in taking over the Tuesday question of the day, please PM me. C'mon, you know you want to. ;)

What is something trivial that infuriates you?

For me, it is bad driving habits. Not using a directional signal is high on the list. :lol3:

When to use your phone outside in the office place.. my coworker is always on her phone and she would get upset with me if I ask her to take her conversations outside

Calling me over something that could have been texted instead, and turning what could have been said in a text into a 30 minute conversation of mostly blathering.

For me, it's people dithering, as my mum used to call it. l'm incredibly impatient and have a deep appreciation for efficiency, and when l see someone doing something at the speed of wood (at work), it annoys me to no end.

"Ax"ing questions; as in "Can I ax you a question?"

I want to say; that's a bit harsh don't you think?  Why don't you just ASK me!

People who whisper in a classroom or theatre type setting. Especially if they are behind me. Not only is the pitchy sound of the whispering really annoying in itself, but it is also really rude.

And, dumb blonde jokes or comments/statements.

(I also agree about poor grammar, and also bad table manners)

People stopped in the isle at the store having a conversation or spending way to long looking for something when there is a crowd waiting behind them. If I'm going to be a minute and there are other people needing to get by me then I go back around or apologize and step aside.

People playing with their cell phone at dinner with friends or family or when others are trying to hold a conversation with them. I play with my phone but I keep it put away with company unless I'm going to show them something.

It just happened on a show on the tv and it drives me nuts!... The thing (mainly) Americans do with 'off of'.

To me you don't fall off of something.. you just fall off it.

You don't take your shoe off of your foot.. you just take it off your foot.

I know there are places way back in English where it's used and I can't tell you why it annoys me.

It just does.

Now I'm running for cover ..

I'm with you on apostrophe too, SwampWitch.  Drive's me mad

seriously

apostrophes where they don't belong

it drive's me crazy

^ ha ha that's a joke
So many people put an 's after something to pluralize the word. "See my cat's" for example, when they mean "See my cats". I've even seen this on billboards and in newspaper advertisements. Doesn't anybody proof-read anymore?

And to take Mani's post one step further, don't say, "I should of combed my hair." Should of? Really? "I should HAVE combed my hair."

To, too, and two. They're, their, and there. You're and your. People don't know how to use them properly.

I've coming back for a second round on this question as in both my classes today I had snorers, and they were both long term students.

I have gorgeous students, but those who know they're likely to snore during meditation should choose to sit..

It doesn't upset me when I'm meditating, but it does when I'm teaching as it can wreck it for others.  I can feel them becoming agitated.

In one of my yoga teacher trainings our teacher used a water pistol on snorers as he quite rightly felt we should know better....

I'm sorely tempted.

When my husband sleeps in the bed ,he jerks and wakes me up. I hate that cause I was dreaming of Donny Osmond one night.

Ditherers, anyone that 'faffs about'.  Particularly if it's while looking to go out and they've known for ages when we're going but they just keep on fiddling and finding other things to get or things to do!!!
I have been known to just go out and wait in the street ....or get in the car and start the engine.
