Yeah, they're like gems. Isn't there a gem called a cat's-eye? Or is that something else?
Back in the old days (when I was young) there were marbles that we called cat's eyes, they were much sought after in our marble games! They did look like cat's eyes, even down to the slit 'pupil' down the middle!

Loving that second picture @Wolfie305, so crisp and the face is so intensely focussed on you. Very sweet.  Khaleesi goreous as usual.

There was a type of gem called a star sapphire and in that class if the star was only one ray instead of six they called it a cat's eye.  Perhaps this is what you mean.  It is a beautiful thing and I think it is actually more lovely than the actual star marked ones.  They were usually blue or green in color.

Not that this is representative of Calais' gorgeous amber-green peepers, but it's my favorite eye-shot. I call it her gollum pose. My preciousssssssss..
I see how you named it!
She looks like a fur-alien, and an adorable one at that!

Mori is a lovely looking cat with a really intense look in your photo, but Smeagol just captured a bit of my heart here.
And talking of seeing where people got names from for Gollum poses, this one is an absolute classic to go with the name.

She is around 3 years old now, we had nice day outside at the sun, searching for green grass leaves and then sunbathing, she started to be quite loud if I did go very far, quite opposite of what she was just few days ago, when she chose to hide when she saw me, that was at outdoors, indoors she is very friendly and demanding attention.

I think her tongue is tad large compared to that nose of hers?

Of course her nose is tiny as so is she, that long fur just makes impression of her being larger than she is, I'm always afraid of breaking her when picking up as her legs are so tiny and she being so light so she feels fragile even she is not.

@JTbo, beautiful photographs of a beautiful cat.  Her fur looks just as amazing as her eyes do. I think you could loose a hand in that coat of hers!

If she would be bigger, that would be easy, but due to her size, my hand is too large, she does weight about 2.5kg, which is somewhere near 5.5 pounds, kind of miniature of a cat, but one can easily hide fingers to that fur.

Another thing with her fur is that like some moments ago when I managed to brush her a bit again, I think there was more fur on my face than on brush, it is so thing that it gets bit of airborne and also she tends to leap against my face which does not help.

There is something about her stare that has lot of effect to me, I find myself often looking those pics, If I just would know what is on her mind :D

Ears as big as ever, I see! Definitely healthy, though. That coat looks very plush. And the mustache... d'awww!

@MoriCrest,  Smeagol is such a stunning cat.  She does look beautifully healthy now, with luscious fur and bright eyes, and although her eyes and ears do not seem quite so huge now she has filled out she still has a look of deep soulfulness in her eyes.  What a treasure.
