Hello my name is Amy. I live in the country, therefore I find a few strays, cats and dogs. So I have four cats and two dogs. About two years ago I found this small beautiful black and white kitty. She was small and very desperate for food. So I took her home after she jumped in my lap.( told the boyfriend she followed me) got her home and our cat we owned at the time, Lily, did not appreciate this new cat in her home. So my boyfriend Lorien made up a bed with food and water for her in the shed. The next morning I said by to this little kitty in hope that she would still be there when we got home from our 14 hour day( bf works 12 hour shift and its an hour drive into town where he works). Well when we got home, this little kitty had some little kitties of her own. We couldn't keep them, so my boyfriends sister took in all three cats. Six months later my Lilybug got sick, started seizing and we had to put her down. Prior to that my sister in law was tarying to give them away as a threesome. So we took all three cats within three days of lilies death. Mummy, Bim and Hendrix. Beautiful cats, awesome family. My other cat, Rory, who I just found August 1st has turned out to be carrying. She seems to be 5-6 weeks along, according to what I've been reading. Enough about the story of my cats, now for my question. Rory was very thin, her bones were visible, she had dry blood around her nose I assume from digging for food. I'm worried that it may effect the Kitts( the fact she was starving and so small) also, I know cats can't digest milk, but since shes expecting should I give her small amounts.
And please, how do I post pics?

Hi and welcome to TCS. Thanks for rescuing and taking in strays. In regards to Rory's pregnancy, I am a little concerned about her giving birth given that she doesn't seem in the best of health. Pregnancy and birth take a lot of resources, and it can be difficult even for healthy cats. If it's early enough in the pregnancy, is spay/abort something you would consider? If not, then she needs high quality food and lots of it to prepare for birth and nursing. Lots of high animal protein/ high fat / low to no carb foods, which means high quality canned food. If cost is a consideration, then Friskies and Fancy Feast pates only will work. Cow's milk will not be very useful to her.
