There is only 1 pet store in this town yesterday 30 minutes before they closed I saw a cute kitten there was another kitten but didnt catch my eye...should I go Monday morning at open for it? Currently have no pets other than a small dog that's not mine and it gets along with cats.pick it up to see if its healthy and take it if I still want it?! I'm thinking about having 2 kittens I thought 2 might be easier since the kittens are tiny right now might make them less needy while I do daily things like cooking taking care if others!

2nd kitten would be a free one from relative which I couldn't get until 1-2 weeks

If this kitten has caught your eye and you fancy it, why not. Especielly if you have the feeling also the kitten has seen you and want you.

What are they for kittens? Costly sells from some local Back yard breeder, or homeless cats found and thus here finding a home, perhaps with cooperation of a local shelter?

As a rule, we arent so fond of buying kittens or puppies at pet shops, as the sold kittens are usually from BYB breeder.  It is usually better to buy them from a serious breeder if you want purebreed, or from a shelter or rescue group if you are happy with a moggie.

Taking from a high kill shelter is almost the thing!  This way you are literally a savior...

But if you saw your chosen one at a pet shop, so be it.  Dont forget to get a good vet check up, it is never wrong and may be wise.  The same perhaps with the other kitten you get for free.

Btw.  My advice for you is you do give a donation to some worthy cause, in the free kittens name.

Be it 10 dollars, but nobody will ever say or think this kitten was just for free, thus practically worthless.

Coordinate with the relative which cause the donation will support.

Good luck!

I see, so you are essentielly rescuing this kitten, together with the pet shop. OK, I do approve this system.    :)   It is of course OK the shop takes 25 bucks. If nothing else, it is a quarantee the new owner is hopefully serious.

As the old owners ARE dumping their kittens, better they got dumped somewhere where other people can rescue them, than dump them directly onto the street. Or even worse, in the wood in a closed box.  which also happens.

I mentioned earlier a vet visit.  I renew this recommendation.  The easiest is if you go to the vet directly from the pet shop, check up, deworming, perhaps also vaccinations.

Wait with spaying, it would be too much done at the same time.

Good luck!
