I do read the bible.......and yes I have it in presentense because I started reading the bible from the start about 2 years ago.....and I pick it up and read a book every couple of months.....Like I said in my last post........It was something that was told to me by my family.........I have never even heard of that movie.

If you're at work or have a hard time getting to your bible, there's site that has the whole thing online, which is where I got the quotes:

http://bible.gospelcom.net

The line about all men have sinned is Romans 3:23

Romans 3
23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

However, Jesus was not just a man. There is an argument about the phrase "Fully God and fully human"; you can check this article out:

http://bibletools.org//index.cfm/fus...PERSONAL/k/571

In any event, to be fully human you have to be born from two human parents, and we believe that Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit and Mary. IMO, this exempts him from the statement that all men have sinned. Also, the Bible clearly says that Jesus was without sin. I don't know where in the scripture it says he was tempted by a prostitute. The only one who ever tempted Jesus was Satan when he was in the desert for 40 days.

If Jesus ever did sin, then our whole belief system crumbles. The only reason we are offered salvation is because Jesus, who was without sin, sacrificed himself on the cross and took our sins with him. If he had sinned, he would not be a worthy sacrifice and we could never go to heaven.

By the way, I don't mean to hijack the thread, but just to add to the unforgivable sin thing. Here's a site that explains what exactly it is.

http://www.kencollins.com/bible-d1.htm

The gist of it? Basically, the Holy Spirit is the conduit through which salvation flows. In terms of the Holy Trinity and the roles they play, the Holy Spirit leads us to Jesus, Jesus forgives our sins, and then we are finally able to pray to God and eventually join him in heaven. If you cut off this conduit, then you can no longer be saved, just like if you pull the main breaker in your house, you won't get electricity. At the end of the article, he says that many people worry that they've somehow commited the unforgivable sin. Here's the kicker. The Holy Spirit acts as our conscience; if you feel guilty about something, then you haven't yet disconnected from the Holy Spirit so just by worrying that you've blasphemed Him you already know you haven't commited the unforgivable sin!

Actually the word prostitute isn't even found in the Bible. They would call it Harlot, and the only ones tempted by the Harlots were priests and Solomon and the people of Jericho.
