How old is the boy kitten? If he's under 5 months old, yes, neutering him now should keep him from impregnating the females. If he's over 5 months old, he may have some viable sperm in his tubes so he could still be fertile for a little while after neutering.

IF you can keep the females inside, yes, you could wait a bit before having them spayed. BUT it's very hard to keep a female in heat from escaping, and they may pee everywhere trying to attract males. So you wouldn't want to wait too long :tongue2:.

Yes, the mother should definitely be spayed, and quickly. The older she gets, the higher her chance of reproductive disease and cancer becomes. 8 isn't so old (about middle-aged), but you should talk to the vet and probably get bloodwork first to make sure she's healthy enough for surgery.

Is cost the main obstacle? If you give your general location, someone may know of a low-cost spay clinic in the area. And I'm told that if you call http://spayusa.org/ (their phone number is on the bottom of the page), they'll do everything they can to help, even if there isn't a clinic nearby in their search database.

thanks for answering!!! the kittens are about 2 to 4 months I don't know for sure because they are farm cats, and she hides her kittens for a while, ok so it won't be bad for her to be spayed my mom says it is bad at that age and she could die but if I wanted to and I payed for it all I could take her and her kittens in, my dad is not really happy but he will get over it.

Yes, but other intact males will find the females when they go into heat.  Pediatric spays can be done as early as when the kitten weighs 2 pounds (approx. 2 months) for both males and females.

Thanks for answering!!!! I do know how early it can be done it is money that is the problem, because they are (they won't be soon) they have worms and they could have more, I want to take them and their mom in to the vet before I bring them inside cuz I have 2 already inside, and it is pretty spendy to take 4 cats in to the vet and then tet 4 cats fixed right after, does that make sense? and like I said thanks for answering!!!!
