Hi and welcome to TCS! It is great that you are concerned with providing a good diet for your cat. I am not a fan of any dry food in a cat's diet. www.catinfo.org is a site written by a vet which provides many reasons on why.

What exactly is in the homemade food, and how is it prepared? A properly balanced, nutritionally complete homemade food can be a great addition to a cat's diet.

Welcome to The Cat Site.

Depends on quantity, among other factors, if Wellnes + homemade food is a good diet.

From your other post, I gather at least one cat is a kitten.  I personally don't like free feeding, it can encourage cats to overeat, and then they won't be hungry for the homemade meal.  But a kitten needs a lot of calories, so I would measure the amount of dry food you're feeding, and watch the weight of all cats.  I would look for the Core version of Wellness food; it is grain free though NOT carbohydrate free.

Finally, you mention a homemade meal.  What receipe are you using?

And thanks for bringing in these cats; they'll be safer this way.

thanks for answering guys! 3 of the them are kittens and they are also siblings, my two indoors are about two and a half, and the kittens mom is anywhere from 4 to 8, so it is a wide variety of age, and ritz is the core version what you feed your cat(s) or do you feed them/it something else? and how many do you have? so I can stop saying it like that, and I do not know what the recipe I will use is cuz I am just starting buying my own food cuz I learned that what they are buying for them is really bad but they will not buy anything else, soI am going to start buying them food myself.

Dry food was never a part of my cat's diet except maybe 1/8 of a cup and only for a short while.  I believe I fed her Buffalo Blue.

I now feed my cat raw food, prey model role, also known as Frankenprey.  I have one cat, around 4 years old.  She use to ONLY eat Fancy Feast Classic Seafood, you could say 'addicted' to it.  And eating too much of it and wanting more, so I transitioned her to commercial raw and then Frankenprey.

You should do some reading and researching about feeding a homemade diet; you need to know how to properly balance the food or you can cause more harm than good.  The link vball91 is a great site to start learning about good food for your cats.

Meanwhile, check out this other thread about good and afordable canned foods.

And vball the dry food would only before them to snack on if they got hungry in between  meals, and now that I look at it I don't think I really want to give it to them, so is there something I could put in their bowls all the time? and I also think that 3 or 4 maybe even 5 meals a day would be better, thanks!!! And if I sound like a jerk I'm really sorry, I just want the best for my cats.

For kittens, depending on how young they are, you may want to leave some food down all the time, but adult cats really don't need that. In fact, a little hunger is good to promote better gut motility. Especially if you can feed 4-5 meals a day, that should be enough.

If you do want some healthy dry snacks/foods though, there are one ingredient freeze-dried meat and organs (Whole Life, PureBites and Etta Says are some brands) that are good for cats. Most cats love them. Also, there are freeze-dried raw complete meals like Stella & Chewy's that you can either rehydrate with water for a meal, or use in its dry form as either snacks or crumbled on top of other food as toppers.
