Cats have a (well-deserved) reputation for resistance to change, but sometimes they can really surprise you! About a year ago I decided I would get collars for the cats. So I went out and bought the cute patterned breakaways with the engraved tags and put them on. Simon & Joni got out of theirs 3-4 times each in the first 24 hours and I got so tired of catching them to put it back on that I took the collars off and threw them in a drawer.
Well, since I'm moving in a few days I've been packing up drawers, and yesterday I found the collars! I thought, oh that'd be so nice to have since we'll be in a new neighborhood and if they get loose I don't want them mistaken for strays. Too bad they won't wear them... but I guess it would be funny to put it on and see them take it off again.
Well, here we are more than 24 hours later and the collars are still on! And what's more, they haven't even TRIED to take them off - it was like they didn't even notice or like they'd always had collars.
CATS!!!
