Sundar walks along the window ledge where I keep various (unbreakable.. I learnt the hard way) ornaments, looks at me and swipes one off with his paw.  Then he just keeps going.  He is SO naughty but it cracks me up every time.
Coconut does the same thing, if he wants attention and is not getting it, he will jump up on the entertainment center and stare at you and swipe things off, one by one.  What's funny is that he usually meows first to get our attention, I will say "don't you dare" and he'll look defiant and do it anyhow.  Sometimes its amusing and sometimes its irritating.....lol.  This is also how he gets me up if I dare to sleep in past 5:30am.  He'll start by meowing, if that doesn't work he jumps on the opposite side of my pillow to catapult my head up, (that usually works....lol) but if I still ignore him then he'll start knocking things off the dresser.  He's such a stinker, but I love him anyhow :p

My boy Sasser's is a rather tough looking fellow. He's a good sized cat. Wears a spiked/studded Harley Davidson leather collar because it was the only thing I could find that suited his purrrsonality... he's kinda a jerk at times. Lol but when I say hi to him and he meows back... either no sound comes out at all or a wee little kitten squeak comes out. Makes me laugh every time.

One of our cats will decide there's something at the end of our long hallway that they just MUST go see RIGHT NOW, so he or she will go racing down the hallway full speed.  This is the signal for the other two to follow suit IMMEDIATELY.  They'll all tear down the hall at breakneck speed together--they sound like a herd of mini elephants, it's so funny.  And if I happen to be in the hall when I hear them coming, I stop in my tracks and let them thunder by, or I will be run over!

And here I thought I was the only person in the world with a herd of mini elephants. Sigh! Lol

I think these herds could be quite common.
I kind of miss mine the nights it doesn't arrive.   The sad thing about mine is there's only one cat contributing to it and he makes such a racket I worry what my downstairs neighbours think I'm housing up here.
And if I get in the way it just leaps up on to my shoulders then launches off the other side even faster and noisier than before....

Do yours do the sideways tail, running like a bat outta hell and making this weird and somewhat freaky howling noise?

He does the bat outta hell but you've got me on the rest of it!   That isn't a herd of mini elephants you've got, it's a full blown stampede!

Mine have scared the crap outta me on more than one occasion doing that. Thankfully I live in a house and not a duplex or apartment building because my neighbors would think I was killing my cats or being killed by my cats. The two of them act possessed at times.

Finding myself wondering what your stampede's going to sound like when your fur-family increases in the next few days.

Mouse pastes himself in to walls and furniture pretty regularly.   Last night he was in full run, jumped at the sofa, missed the seat and hit the (padded) front panel side on - closely followed by thudding down on to the floor head first and a backward roll.

You can imagine him slinking off trying to look dignified after that one!

Yeah, mine too.  As many times as they've galloped down the hall, it still startles me.  Now we have these inherited cats who are starting to be out with our herd more often.  Today, I heard the usual gallop and turned around expecting to see one of my three and it was the 17 year old new guy!  I guess he's seen our three racing down the hall and thought it looked fun.  I hope they don't all pick up the habit--our hallway's not wide enough for a herd of 7 to come galloping down it all at once!  LOL

How great your newbie 17 year old is joining in with the play!

Looking forward to those future posts describing life with your herd of 7 breaking in to hall stampedes. You know they want to!

Yeah, it's true.  Hoping our new tribe and original tribe may someday be one big happy herd, driving me crazy....

Thankfully my herd will only be increasing in size until the kittens are ready to go to their new homes. I'll have 9 felines in the house until the end of October. 6 kittens and three adults. The momma will be going home to the in laws and I'll be keeping one kitten. Putting my small but thundering herd up to three lol

My cat Ziggy (RIP) was a character. He would climb on the headboard of my bed. When he was directly behind me he would lean over my face and gently tap me on the nose until I woke up. I would open my eyes and he would be about an inch above me. He also loved to antagonize my husband.Every time hubby put down a glass full of water, coffee etc. Ziggy would climb on the table and knock it over. He would then just tip-toe away  lay down and then look my hubby directly in the eye as if to say "what are you going to do about it" I miss that cat. One of my current cats steals whatever he can and hides it under my desk. More than once I have caught him with my cell phone between his teeth attempting to haul it away.I have only had him for 1 month who knows what else he will be up to.

Neither of my cats have figured out the glass table. I can't even remember how long we've had it but they still sit under it and try to hit whatever happens to be sitting on top. The best is when one is on top and one is underneath and they try to play attack each other. You gotta wonder what the cat on the bottom is thinking when he sees his buddy "floating" above his head.
