frustrated anal glands

My cat sadie  shes 3 and not until i had her spayed did she start swelling after she eats, shes so little as you can see from her pick she was a stray in my back yard it was instant love for us both, took her to vet, changed her foods 3 times now  vet emptied glands charged me hefty bill 2 days later it's doing it again , she eats good foods first, science diet, then blu, then holistic, then back on science diet oral, per vet she couldn't even eat the pieces to big for her little teeth, now have her on wellness ,she hasn't pooped but once in 4 days, she leaks all the time i wake every morning with leak stains all over my sheets, i feel so bad for her don't know what else to do, also have her on l-lyseine for breathing problems she is the sweetest , smartest cat i have ever met, she will talk to you it's not a meow its like shes answering and it's always on cue it shocks everyone it sounds like shes saying yea, i need to help her please anyone have any suggestions i would appreciate it more than you know i know shes hurting and it's just killing me please anyone

Not pooping but leaking bits of diarrhea makes me think that she has an intestinal obstruction, which is an emergency.

I'm not sure what you mean by swelling after she eats. WHAT is swelling after she eats?

Are you sure it's her anal glands? I agree with peaches08 in that the lack of pooping may mean she is severely constipated with diarrhea leaking around the constipated poop. What kind of food is she on, just dry or a mix of dry and wet, or just wet?

Hi, Thanks for replying, no it's not an obstruction, had plenty of those in my life time no it's her glands when he drained then she was like a new kitten, she eats right now dry wellness complete, she went this am but it looked old, she has lost a few pds she needed to as you can see how small she is, and she weighed 11 pds 9 ozs , she just swells up after she eats and until she goes poop, it stays there. this is  the 2nd vet and they say shes full of poop 400 dollars later its the same the draining lasted 2 days, that was it, i have wondered because it never happened until she was spayed, did the vet maybe ut something she shouldn't have i did mention it to her since the rectum and the female area are so close cause it looks like it comes out the female part, i ask the vet and he just ignored me about that but i shouldn't have to wash both parts all day long i feel horrible she lays there shes such a good girl, but it just well violating right, i will get to the bottom of this  we chose each other, it's my responsibility to make sure shes ok, i wouldn't have it any other way i just adore her, i adore all animals my goal in life is to have a animal shelter i would donate all my time for the rest of my life to do that.

Thanks for replying also, first let me say your cat is adorable, yea i mean after she eats shes swells up like she ate a basketball, and after she finally goes poop, it goes down it's like gas in a human there stomach may swell well because shes so small it looks larger, she has lost may 2 pds, which i know will help with the pressure on the glands i am going to drain them my self i worked for a vet about 15 yrs ago , never drain glands but have read on it allot i an do it i would never hurt ever, it helped when the vet did it but who can afford 76.00 dollars every couple of days i am going to call the vet and ask him what exactly did he charge me for when there's no difference after 2 days, well we will see hope i don't need to ask anyone again about this but i will if i can find help, someone said something about pumpkin, anyone know anything about that ? thanks  again

What do you mean when you say you have to wash her female parts all day long? And a cat on dry food should have to poop pretty much daily. I'm still feeling that this all points to an intestinal problem.

Pumpkin is fiber that may increase the bulk of stools and therefore express the anal glands. I don't know if it will help your cat or not.

I mean when she leaks it's more on the female part of the back side then the rectum part, , like i said when i took her to the vet, i told the vet everything he expressed the glands, she did for a couple days had me put her on science diet oral care, she couldn't even bite the pieces, so after e research exstenive wellness was recommended, she loves it it's high in fiber no glten corn crap very healthy food just not pooping good, but she looks like shes lost about a pound shes not as swollen on the sides, i have had about 10 obstructions in my life if it was that it would have shown uo on xrays, and she would be crying in pain cause it hurts all so bad even if i picked her up she would cty but she doesn't she plays chases her da birdie, seems happy, i will figure it even if it breaks the bank, 3 vets now and they don't know i think there guessing thanks for asking though that's what i need people that have cats that maybe someones out there with the same problem can't help but think it may be from the spaying since it didn't happen till right that told the vet that did the surgery she said i just do the fixing after that it's not my concern, are you kidding me, that's not a vet that's and assembly line just out for the money

that's the problem it looked like both happy to say after several days shes started pooping normal sizes gave her the pumpkin she just ate it up, when i picked up saucer to wash she gave a big cry out ran over to me like don't you dare take that, shes clean now for 2 days no leakage oh i hope i don't  jinx myself, just pray it keeps up oh and she's  lost a pound, she seems better i guess the wellness dry is good just takes a minute to start working thru thanks every body that did help really appreciate it really
