My cat, Molly, got pregnant in the middle of June. She is an indoor cat, but would occasionally go out back while we were in the pool. The yard is fenced in. A white cat showed up and was calling as if in heat, but would let us near,we thought it was a girl, but we were way wrong. So I think he is the one who got her. We have a indoor/outdoor male cat, but he was I ly around 4 months at the time she got pregnant, but I found out from the vet it could have been him. I had planned I have him, juice, neutered at around 6-7 months.
Anyway, regardless of how it happened, Molly got pregnant. I have been expecting kittens for a little over 2 weeks, with nothing happening. I have been monitoring her temp and it is usually 100.5, but for the las 2.5 days it has been 98.9-99.4. I just now noticed she has began producing milk today. She eats constantly and has began sleeping more. But other then that she is acting the same. It's driving me crazy, when do u think I will have kittens?

Soon, but we dont know the exact hour!  Impossible to know.  They will come when they come.

Just watch out if she get into labor, it isnt way too long...  Otherwise, it is "just" to wait, and if possible be there, ready to assist, when her time comes.

And of course, be prepared otherwise.

Had you done your reading on, or do you want some links??

Good luck!

I have talked to 2 vets and read practically everything I could find. Thanx though. I know we can't predict exactly, but I was just seein if anyone had seen similar symptoms when their cat was due, and when, after those symptoms they got kittens.

I would expect her to have them this weekend ( yesterday or today).   Unfortunately,  my expectations can be wrong.  Sometimes they can fool us.

The   temperature drop like you mention,  when it's actually dropping to subnormal,   is usually a pretty reliable indicator but  not 100%.

and with the lactation  i have heard of it happening a week before birth ,  but more often probably from 3 days before up until she has the kittens.

So what we've seen in other cats is not a definite prediction for YOUR cat.

But I understand your concern.  Do you  have any closer estimate of when you think she mated?    because if it was June 15 she needs to hurry up and have those kittens!   70 days is about the limit.  and if I KNEW it was that long ,  I would be calling the vet.

The difficulty is that you don't want to induce labor IF she might have mated after about June 24th.   Kittens born too soon do not usually do well.

I know she just wants to sleep  but if you can convince her to get up and move around a bit,  that might get things started.  I don't know if you could still attract her with a toy?  Or throwing treats across the room for her to run to?  Some light exercise wouldn't be bad for her anyway.  and it might just get things moving.

When she has kittens you will probably know if the white cat was the father. ( If the father is solid white,  there is a good chance of at least some solid white kittens.  and that hardly ever happens without at least one white parent.)

You mentioned you have done quite a bit of reading but here are a couple more links

 One from this site:  http://www.thecatsite.com/a/pregnancy-and-delivery-in-cats

http://www.icatcare.org/advice/my-cat-having-kittens     ( This is a link to a group of articles on cat pregnancy, birth and kittens.   Read the ones on normal cat birth and on " when to wait and when to worry"  )

Still no kittens, I'm almost postive I first noticed Molly was pregnant around the 4th of July. And I can Only remember somewhere in the middle of June, she hardly ever goes outside, but I guess she felt comfortable in the back yard with us, but since I have talked to the vet, is she got pregnant by my male cat, it could have been anytime. I know she has to be due any day, the vet said she can go up until 72 days and as long as she is eating and actin normal not to worry to much. Kittens have been moving well over 2 weeks, milk for about 4-5 days now. Her temperature has been is the 98 zone since last night, average temp is 100.5, the last 5-6 days her temp has been is the 99s. I left for an hour yesterday and she tore out all my husbands dresser drawers and opened all the cabinet doors, she is still refusing her nesting box I made, even though the closet used to be her fav spot. She just eats an sleeps all the time. I'm so tired of waiting, but nothing else I can do. I have to leave half the day tomorrow and she will probably choose then to have them.

It's true some breeds can  go to 72 or 73 days.  that's uncommon in regular domestics but not unheard of.

If you noticed she was pregnant  on the 4th of July  she surely had to have been about 3 weeks.  If what you noticed was the nipples pinking up,  people usually say 3 wks but it can happen at about 18 days.

So let's say  she was at least 3 weeks on 7th July.   That puts her at at LEAST 71 days today.   but she might be several more days.

At least you do know  that if she has them now there is no way it is premature!

Some people give raspberry leaf tea to induce labor naturally.   So you might try that today.   and if that doesn't work,  ask the vet tomorrow about oxytocin to induce   labor.

The problem is that the kittens are continuing to grow  and it might make a vaginal birth more difficult.  so  I would not keep waiting more than another day or so.

Still no kittens, Molly is sleeping a lot as usual and eating and drinkIng constantly. The vet said not to worry as lOng as she didn't seem distressed, she Gould have them in the next few days. The vet thanks she may be purposely holding off her labor.

Congrats! I do feel relieved!  How many days was the pregnancy at your count?

And what is the weight of them kittens when delivered?

I understand the delivery wasnt extra difficult, as it went quickly.

Good luck!
