I have been on this sight many times looking for answers or advice.  I really think this is a great community of cat lovers.  Friendly, knowledgeable, and totally devoted to anything that purrs.

I have 8 kitties and one temporary foster at my home.  Most of my babies are Desert Lynx.  I have a few that are mixed with DSH.  It's a full time job that I wouldn't trade for anything.  When I get home from work, it's time for dinner and a floor show. They are so entertaining.

I love learning new stuff and this seems to be the place. It's great to be able to tap in to the wisdom and experience of so many people.

Welcome aboard!  We are a great group, full of knowledge and helpfulness.

We also love pictures!  I've never seen a Desert Lynx, so I am really curious to see them!

The Desert Lynx is one of the foundation breeds for the Highland Lynx.  Several domestic breeds were involved and wild cat.  Bobcat, Chausie, etc.  The founders split and there are now two lines of DLX.  One strives to maintain the wild cat line See LOVESPOTS CATTERY...the other branched the lines a great deal until there are more of the HLX (curled back ears).See the Rare and Exotic Feline Registry.

I have been working for over three years now trying to bring in some of those original bloodlines.  Primarily Timberline, Pam's Pride, Amazing Grace.  I have my boys (2) both poly dactyl and naturally short tailed, one is a snow the other a snow gene carrier, and Girls (3) one snow, poly dactyl long tail, two straight footed, naturally short tailed, spotted leopard.  Like Holly Snow, I WILL NOT DOCK A TAIL!!!

I am not popping out babies haphazardly.  Slow and easy.  Planning the breedings carefully, I haven't had a litter since 11-23-11.
