yourdadsister   Hi! Welcome to TCS.

'm sorry nobody answered sooner,  I think it got mixed up because it was in a thread about a different cat and she has had her kittens now.

I'll ask a moderator to make a separate thread for you where you can  post about what's going on with your cat..   It makes it easier for us to not get confused about what is going on with each cat.

It sounds like she doesn't have long to go but  it can be hard to say for sure.

Make sure she stays inside,  and block off anywhere you don't want her to have kittens --  including places where you would not be able to see or reach her to check that she and the babies are OK or to help her if she needs help ,    as well as keep her out of places that you do not want the mess of a birth.    You might want to start keeping her in one room -- if it is a bedroom,  I would make it so she can't go under the bed.  like even cut up some large cardboard boxes and tape to the bed frame and the floor all around the frame.

Did you see these links that I gave before?   It would be a good idea to read up some about cat birth so you are prepared.

Hope everything goes well with the birth!

I agree with Maew.

This with clutching with her claws I suspect she had contractions.  Some precontractions, or beginning of the labor...

If it was beginning of the labor, the kittens are probably delivered now?

If there are not kittens yet, and she is in a long fruitless labor - please phone your vet and ask advice!

If the contractions stopped, it was precontractions...  Just to continue and wait and read on.

There are also youtube films to see.

When you begin to feel the kittens move, it is about two weeks left.  But you never know the exact hour, its just to wait and be ready!

Good luck!
