EVO cat and kitten is good. It's rich, though, so you have to be careful to not overfeed. In the past, I have fed Wellness grain free and Wellness CORE. Wellness does have a canned grain free food, but I don't think they have a dry kitten grain-free food. Taste of the Wild is also good dry food, but it doesn't come in a kitten formula. For dry kitten food, I have fed Royal Canin babycat in the past.
When I fed canned I liked Wellness Grain-Free (not CORE, but the regular ones) a lot. It's pretty fatty, it's easy to syringe, and helped put my adult cat put on some pounds when we got her.
EVO is suppose to be good as well, but I have never fed it. I find that Wellness is easier to find in-store than EVO.
I don't feed dry food, but when I did use them as treats I was using Orijen. This was before they changed the formula from potatoes to lentils... Actually, does Orijen still use potatoes? I dunno, LOL. Another dry I used (given by the shelter) was Spot's Stew but that has a lot of veggies.
Thank you everyone for your responses. I current use Wellness for my big guy but wanted to see what everyone thought was good for kittens. Grain free seems important for their young tummies. I will be picking my two new kittens up at the airport this weekend.
It depends on cat but yes it seems like grain-free (low carb) is pretty important! You might wanna also add some probiotics to the kittens' meals too in case their stomachs are upset.
