Wednesday's Question of the Day: your favourite room

Good morning, friends! Today's QOTD is really two questions...

What is your favorite room at home? What makes it your favorite?

It's nothing fancy, but everyone always gathers in our kitchen, I guess because it's big and that's where the food is.

But it's not my favorite room because I'm usually preparing food or cleaning up food in there. I love our living room! It has the cushy sofa and the fireplace and my favorite things are displayed there. I do work for my paying job on a laptop in the living room, but mostly it is for comfort and relaxing. 

I don't have favourite rooms so much as favourite 'spaces' as my house has an odd layout.  I teach yoga in a big room in the centre of my house and always feel really good in 'my spot' within that space as it's also where I do my meditation. 

But I'm also rather fond of my long enclosed verandah with its big comfy chair where I do my knitting.

Our kitchen is my favorite indoor room (but you all knew I was going to say that!). It's where everybody comes to relax, it's where I come to relax. When I'm home, I'm usually in the kitchen either working on a new recipe, baking bread and cookies, or making dinner. Give me a knife, give me a chopping board, and give me a ton of vegetables to chop and I'm a happy camper. Or give me a huge blob of yeast dough that I can play with and I'm good to go.

I have only three "rooms" in my tiny apartment - kitchen, bathroom and big room.  So I'd say the "big" room is my favorite.  It has a few "areas" like computer, living room, bedroom.  The "living room" area is my favorite.  Comfy and relaxing and a good view of outside.  The cats lay on small tables beside me and life is good there. 

I have 3 rooms too. My front room & kitchen are 1 big room and I have an open bedroom and a bathroom.upstairs.

So I choose  the bedroom. I wake up ,get my coffee and go back to bed and watch Dog the Bounty Hunter then Criminal Minds.I love the open space and hate being in a 4 wall bedroom.

I'm not sure!  My foyer is sort of a mini library; full of books and the glider I rarely use for the kids.  It's just not visited very often!  I would love a little, private me space!

Yes.  Yes we did. 

My favorite room is the living room because that's where I do all my relaxing.  I read in there and watch TV in there.  My least favorite room is the kitchen because it means I'm doing something I really don't enjoy doing and that is cooking   and the clean up. 
 

I suppose it will be the living room.

It is the one place where I can fit and use my portable ballet barre, along with a floor space (and hardwood floor, can't do point on carpet) where I can some excercises/stretching, and have music.

It is also the place, via the the dining room table, where I do all my sewing. I bring my machine down, patterns, fabric, from the loft, and voila!
 

And of course, a tv/dvd player is there and a comfortable place for a laptop, and so forth. And read! Love reading a good book.
 

The kitchen because that is where I can make huge messes and not get a talking to lol. Seriously though, I am super messy when cooking and I love it.
