My bella is walking around the house trying to squeeze into small spaces and checking out the box I made for her to have her kittens in. I am not sure if she is nesting or not. She just seems to be exploring for no particular reason and honestly that's the most I have seen her move in days. So is this nesting behavior? If it is when should I expect kittens?

Our foster Mem spent Saturday and Sunday moving from place to place restlessly, never lying in the same spot twice, trying to get out of our 'maternity suite' (a big bathroom where pregnant fosters live while they are with us.) She settled Sunday afternoon and I thought we were close, but it took until this morning for the kittens to arrive.

It is seeking out places for a nest yes.  So be sure you block off the places you dont want her to nest in. Perhaps even best to confine her to her own room, where she is also undisturbed and not stressed.

They tend to nest in in the nest first at very last moment.  Cats in the wild dont want the nest to get smelly too early, not to attach predators before they must.  That is why they often seem to be almost uninterested by the nest the owner has made for them.

Use the time left to read on and prepare!   Articles on our Forum, other threads, youtube films...

Some links I shamelessly stole from my co-advisor Maewkaew:

Good luck!
