When I found this abandon cat, I didn't want to keep it at first. I got her natural balance alpha cat dry food since a big bag was for 7 dollars (sweet deal)
But now that I'm keeping this cat I switched to buffalo blue the kitten version dry food aswell since I want the best for her... But I'm noticing that she farts alot and when she goes uses the restroom.... It's best to light a candle. Every now and then I do hear her stomache or something bear the end like if she's hungry or concypayed.

I did transition her food. Little of her old and new. She does like it. But i don't know if it's ok that this is happening from "the best food for animals"

Thanks for saving this cat. If you are interested in "the best food for cats" who are obligate carnivores who need their nutrition from animal protein (think mouse), I would recommend reading www.catinfo.org. Unfortunately, all dry foods have grains/starches that bind the food together. Therefore, they are usually very high in carbs which cats have no nutritional need for. Grains and starches are often allergens for cats which can causing itching, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation and smelly voluminous stool. If you are interested in finding canned food that fits your budget, the site also has a very useful comparison chart of common foods in the US.

Gas is usually a sign of worms, so that would be my first thought.  I'd have the vet check and treat for worms.  Also, worms can contribute to stinky poops.
