Hi,
Just found this forum today and I'm already getting some great advice as well as some enjoyably cute pictures!
So, a little introduction.
I'm Sam, and me and my DH Nick are the ever-loved slaves of two cats and two dogs.
Our two kitties are Amadeus and Tycho. Both came from the local animals services, though we adopted them almost four years apart.
Amadeus is our handsome big boy. We're pretty sure he's at least part Maine Coon, given his paws, size, and coat. He's a sweetheart, though he can be a little shy and spookish at times. We think he's about 8 years old now, though we don't know for sure. We got him over four years ago now, though it doesn't feel like it!
Tycho is our newest addition to the family (which is why he doesn't have any glamour-style pictures yet). We adopted him last December. We think he was about 6 months at the time, so we've had fun adapting to his very kittenish nature. Still, he steals the hearts of everyone who meets him, to the point that our vets frequently ask us if we'll bring him by for a visit even if we're in for one of the others.
Here's a couple of pictures of both kitties together. They are very much best friends and love each other to pieces, so we get a lot of snuggling and mutual grooming as well as playing tag.
Joining them are their canine brother and sister, Dexter and Araley. Dexter is the tuxedo black and Araley is the cow-doggie. They're both retired racing greyhounds, almost 9 years old, and they both love the cats (and not just to chase them), even if Araley doesn't want them on her bed. As you can see above, Tycho and Dexter get along wonderfully and frequently nap together. Araley and Amadeus have a mutual respect thing going on, so he tends to sleep with her if he's around either of the dogs. He's got a bit more of the typical cat attitude, so mostly he ignores them.

So that's our not-so-little furry family!
